My point was more along the lines of me complaining that in the fall/winter 2006/7 I was able to drive up for the day and handle it.
That was when I was obsessing about taping all the fireworks shows.
But since the price of gas has been north of $3.30 a gallon, I've done the math and find myself not so willing to drive up for a day or two. And I've got APs, so admission and parking are paid for before I even leave the driveway.
I've been willing to overlook the tolls, until now, especially as I've got a Sun Pass and it's keyed to a credit card.
But now? I'm even considering driving 95 from the Sawgrass up to Fort Pierce instead of taking the Turnpike all the way. And I 95 is a longer route by a few miles.
