I already had hard plans for WDW. On the 22nd, I was surprising my wife with a vow renewal at Sunset Point at the Poly. Because of the storm, nobody was able to come up for it. Nobody was even sure when it was going to hit because it had slowed up a few times. The TV in the Poly's concierge lounge was constantly on Weather Channel from our check in on Wednesday all the way through when we left Thursday after the storm and I was constantly checking reports from the Hurricane Center with my laptop. We were dying with worry about how things were, and hanging on every report out of South Florida.
It was probably the worst, most worry filled vacation of my life and the surprise celebration I'd planned for close to a year was almost a total rain out with no friends or relatives to share with. Sure, we were offered the chance to reschedule, but how do you reschedule your 10th anniversary's actual day to some day months in the future? Especially once the surprise is lost.

Unlike Charley, which went right over WDW and who's eye went directly over a friend's house in Orlando! I still see damage in the woods around WDW from the three storms in 2004.
