I am proud to announce that MouseBuzz has teamed with Kiva. For those who do not know, Kiva is the leading MicroFinance charity around. They facilitate zero interest loans for entrepreneurs in third world countires, typically in Africa, Asia and Central/South America.

In a nutshell, you find an entepreneur who you like and then you loan them money through Kiva. You can loan as little as $25, but as much as you want. I try to do a lot of $25 loans, and spread things around a bit. Borrowers have a set amount they are looking for, and once that is full, the money is funded to the borrower.

Over the life of the loan, which is typically 6 - 12 months, the borrower pays back monthly payments, which are then credited to your account. You can then withdraw the money, or keep them in your account to loan out again. Please note, there is some risk that the borrower may disappear and not pay the loan back, but it is really tough to find anything like that ever happening.
