When you spoke to the rental people, did you ask for the built in child seats? If they said that they have that available to you, ask them to email a confirmation saying so. This way you at least have it in writing. I would definately stress to them that you have 2 children that MUST have the car seat. No other suggestions for you. Sorry maybe a mini-van renter will come along. Welcome again.
