I like the option. Disney Dining had gotten so bad they needed something like this. It seems like everything we heard lately was people complaining about rude CM's, or CM's who didn't seem to know their stuff.
I think having this, like Mickeysgirlz said, will allow the CM's to be able to do their job better. I think the "real people" will always be a Disney option. I like calling but I think I'd rather turn on some Disney music and make ADRs myself. I really like to look at all my options and think about things rather than be on the spot.
I haven't tried online check in yet but it's my understanding you still talk to a CM right? I would rather have a quick check in and get to my room or the parks than stay and wait in line for 45 minutes only to have to sit with a CM for another 45 minutes while he gets everything straight. (Ok..I'm exaggerating slightly..but I have had loooooonnnggg waits at check ins before. Sometimes it's five seconds but sometimes it's not).
