I was wondering if anyone had heard this...

There was a news report in Jan. or Feb. about a young boy being abused at Port Orleans...in the game room, and in the elevator. He was young and blonde. The report said that it was being investigated...
It was not clear if it was a family member or a stranger that was doing the abuse.

I did not see this one on the Orlando news. I did see the one about that poor girl at POFQ, but thats it.

I saw the one about the little girl also. The investigators cropped her out of photos. The photos tracked her through a few years. The photos from WDW were prior to the remodeling and WDW was working with investigators.

Oh, I really hate hearing things like this. It is such a sad, sad world. I hate to think that stuff like that can happen even at WDW!

I had not heard about the POFQ incident with the little girl--what happened?

Just a thought here, but location aside this isn't about Disney. I mean, unless it a CM was involved, this story is repeated daily throughout the country. And even more across the world.

In my work with abused children I could tell you stories that would make your heart break.

I guess where I'm going with this is a recommendation to let this thread die. But that's just my thought.

I have heard of one that was in the news during 2004. the pictures looked like POR from what I remember but I could be wrong there was also a picture inside a elevator that had a reedy creek inspection certificate on it. the one I heard about was being investigated in Canada as thats were the eveidence was found.

I agree it is a sad world when you have problems like this.

Apparently the Toronto police have some unit that infiltrates porn sites, posing as low-life creeps, buying kiddie porn and these pictures came up. The background was recognized as a Disney resort, and they've somehow narrowed the search down to somewhere in the northeastern States. But I haven't heard anything more.

Thanks for the info about the web sight Llama. I am sure that is the same report that I heard a portion of...it is a shame that there are such creeps out there.

While not wanting to bring up disgusting and extremely sad topics, I saw on the news that they figured out who this little girl was, and she is safe. The man that was abusing her has been in prison for awhile now. She's safe, now.

I was so happy to see such magnificent news.

They found they girl, after all these years!

I sure wish they hadn;t made sucha an issue of the abuse having taken place at POFQ. It was a very, very long time ago, and it had been going on long before and continued long after. I think the news programs were trying to get viewers to watch by wrking the Disney angle. What a shame, since the scandal was not Disney-related at all.

While I agree it is a shame that Disney's name was involved, the fact is, the evidence from WDW led to an arrest. Without that key peice of the puzzle, this crime would have gone unsolved.

I gues you are right, Jeff. But in my newscasts, they jsut showed POFQ entry gates over and over and over... and then they would dramatically say, "You'll never believe the Disney connection to child porn" kind of voice-overs. It just made me really sad. Glad it helped the investigation, but still think it was used for ratings.
