Roy visited Disneyland
I was just on SaveDisney.com and it had a nice short paragraph from Roy praising the CM's at Disneyland in preparation for the 50th after him and his wife visited before the 50th started it sounds like. He also mentioned how he was there at the opening on 7/17/55 and how sad he will be not to be there this July. It was nice to hear a positive comment from him after alot of the negative press he has gotten from the Disney management.

He and his wife were there during the Steve Martin grand opening of Disneyland: The first 50 Magical Years. He was sitting in the front row with a lot of Walt's family and invited guests. That was the only time I saw him there.

I'm glad he was there and included. It would have been really badon Disney management's part to not include him. No matter how strained the relationship he is still a Disney family member and one of our last links to Walt.

It is great that he was there. I had heard somewhere (now I can'r remember where for the life of me) that Bob Iger was also planning to invite Roy to come to the ceremonies in July to celebrate the actual 50th anniversary - that would be great!!
