This person said it was very crowded and tables were too close together making it difficult to get up for more food.
I didn't find that to be the case. The tables are long tables so you'll be sitting with strangers, but they don't tend to be strangers for long! And although they do use all available space, there is still plenty of room to move about up & down the aisles between tables. As a matter of fact, sometimes the lines to meet & greet characters got so long they extended into the aisles. I could still get by though.

Thanks ilvminnie.

It is so hard to plan what to do while at WDW-- there is just too much to choose from and so little time to do it in. I only get to go once a year at best so I want to make the most of our 8 days there.

I know what you mean! Before last year we were only going once every 4 years or so. Now that we are DVC members we went twice last year & are going twice this year, including a 4-night cruise. I can sure feel the difference knowing that we'll be back before too long, relatively speaking, & feeling like we have to get EVERYTHING in & not miss a thing. Good luck, & don't hesitate to ask anything else that comes up.

BACKYRD BARBEQUE

I have to agree with Leslie (of course she is my daughter). we had a great time. You have to remember if you choose to go the event is in a outside pavillon, of course it has a roof in case of rain. So, if you choose to do this in July it will be very hot!! We almost made this our Thanksgiving event this past Nov., but decided to do something else. I'm glad we did, because the weather was a little on the cool side. I do not want to sway anyone from not going, because we had a wonderful time. They have a live country band with country line dancing, oh, and by the way the "BOOT-SCOOTIN BOOGIE" is a country line dance, and you even have an instructor who will teach the dances. Infact, when we did attend we had about 30 of our friends and family, and the teenagers thought they would be bored, but it turned out to be they had a blast!! Infact , on our way out they all said it was one of the best Disney events that had ever been. When we did go it was all you could eat, pluse drinks. Just check the time of year this event is held, and really think it's a good choice for both kids and adults!!!!!:D
