Omg! Can It Be???
I was just introduced to this site wdwblues.com and I'm a little disappointed if all of this stuff is true. ESPECIALLY about the timekeeper and carousel of progress and the hours of the park. Can anyone tell me -- is any of this stuff true? lvbug

I guess what I'm shocked at is all of these cut backs -- almost sounds like Disney is out of business.
I guess you've been to that site before? I had never seen it before. It just doesn't paint a pretty picture. |

Yep, at least most of it's true
Lvbug,
Yes, I've been doing a lot of reading all over the web and other sources, and I'm pretty sure that all of the cutbacks mentioned on wdwblues.com are correct. The thing that concerns me the most is that when crowd levels have been up, WDW really hasn't adjusted to the demand. It's one thing to have reduced hours and services if attendence is way down, but from what I've heard the parks have been pretty crowded over the past couple of months. The more that I read, the more I get the feeling that Eisner and his right hand men & women are more interested in counting beans than creating magic. It's so difficult trying to balance things between employees, customers, and shareholders, but it seems as if Disney has the short-term in mind instead of the long-term. As a shareholder and a customer, I'd have more confidence in the company if they met my needs as a customer first, but that's just my opinion. To close on a good note, I read many negative trip reviews between September and January. Since about December, though, good reviews started to resurface and seem to be on the rise. The general issue, it seems, has been Cast Member service. Morale was down big time after the cutbacks (and layoffs) but seems to be back on the rise. Bruce |

Yes, I agree with you. I had convinced the entire family to go to disney eventhough they wanted to go to Universal. Then I started reading all of these negative trip reports about dirty rooms and unfriendly CM's and I started to get scared. But I think you are right recently the reviews have been more positive.
