I've been hearing alot on the news lately about the controversy over Rosie O'Donnell and her negative hateful remarks on The View. I was wondering if people think ABC/Disney should pull the plug on her. My dh says if Walt was still alive he would have taken care of it long before now. I think since the whole idea of Disney is family, fun , and positive thinking they should not assosiate with such talk, Just wondering if anyone else has an opinion. Thanks

I think that the view was not intended to be a family style show and intended for grownups. I believe it is supposed to be about opinions and "views" entitling her views as well. Unfortunately the way ratings work is that if it were to be a network of exclusively family entertainment, there would not be high enough ratings to secure heavy hitter advertising. Just my "view"
(but as a matter of personal opinion I cant stand Rosie and her overdone comments)

I think Rosie is doing exactly what she was hired for....get ratings and grab controversey. do you honeslty think that they didn't know she had a big mouth before they offered her the job? That's WHY she's there.. AS for liking her, I can't stand her either. I just don't watch it. See that's the great things about digital cable...I have at least 100 other channels to choose from.

I don't mind oposing views, I think that kind of diversity and discussion is very good and very important...Rosie unfortynately expresses her view with an inordinate amount of bitterness and sometimes personal attacks as well, and THAT is why she should be removed. Having an opinion that is different or alternate to main stream thought is fine...expressing it like a scathing attack and an insult is not.

I love when everyone states their different opinions and views in this forum. That being said, let's respect everyone's opinions and not take anything personal in here. Rosie always tends to get us all worked up when she is discussed on here.

I agree that it is good to have a difference of opinion and views, but there is a way to do it with taste and respect. I actually used to like the Rosie show...before she became what she is today...she was a decent funny talk show host. I think she lost it somewhere down the line. But the ratings skyrocket with media drama.

I don't keep up with "The View" or what she says really. I fell asleep last week before the View came on, and woke up and it was on my tv. I told DH about it and he said "And you thought you were in H-E- Double Hockey Sticks, didn't you?" LOL. Ok, so he said the actual word, but I don't know if I'm allowed to actually say that on MB, lol.

I just know that Rosie is always running her mouth about something. Sad part is, I used to like her (back in the day when she had her own show). Now she's a has been and they stuck her on that show to stir up junk. That's in her job description apparently, because she won't quit. Eventually, it will get old and no one will care anymore, then she'll shut up.

I stopped watching The View shortly after she started. In my opinion, it turned into another "Rosie Show" and I couldn't stand the first and refuse to watch the second. I really don't like her.

I agree 100%!! She may be taking it a bit far but that is exactly why they brought her on. I don't watch the show so I could careless if she stays or goes. But I can definitely see how she has peoples back in a hump!
