So sorry you are going through this.

We had an incident not in anyway the same as your but we did hold the hotel liable for damages. Our DD was getting ready to get into a pull out sofabed and there was not only a large sharp spring poking out, but the actual bar on the side of the bed was sharp as a knife. SHe totally slit open her knee about a good 1". It was very deep. We immediately took care of her of course, but also filed a complaint. They took care of her Dr. visit & antibiotics to prevent infection. We forwarded our bills to them & they also comped us our stay. We actually had to get up the next morning and take her home to our pediatrician. It was a huge hassle, BUT they did come through in the end.

I do hope you get this resolved.

Also make sure you keep a copy of EVERYTHING! Even if it seems insignificate(sp) at the time. Record all phone calls to. Get them to say that they already paid for the medicine to begin with.

Kim, Sorry to hear about this whole mess.
Being that you are from the NY area you might want to consider writing or calling one of the local news stations segments such as "five on your side", etc. They usually have pretty good results getting to the bottom of things. Maybe Orlando's tv stations have a similiar segment on their news. You can try them as well.
At his point it couldn't hurt.

I wish the manager would have suggested Turner Drug Store, they deliver to the front desk for $5. You might have be able to call your doctor at home and have him/her call in a new perscription for the number of days you needed to finish your trip and had it delivered to Pop.

Steph, believe me...I tried that! I was on the phone with Schneiders Children's Hospital at 8:30 or 9am, as soon as the phone lines opened. Spoke to my doctor directly...they CANNOT call in a prescription for a controlled substance. That's why we had no choice but to go to the ER.

But I wish I would have KNOWN about the Turner Drug Store that delivers!!!!! We ran around like LUNATICS trying to get it filled. We even waited at one Walgreens in the Parking Lot for an hour,when they said it would be ready for pick up. Eugene went in to get it and they said, "Sorry, we don't have enough pills..." We had to search for another Walgreens that actually had a full supply for us. NIGHTMARE!!!!!

I understand why you were and still are upset about all of this. You wasted a full day and a lot of money because someone decided to lift your medicine.
