Sadly, it's getting closer. At the end of the day, when stocks start to recover, everyone is now dumping their investment portfolios at the last hour. Disney Stock is now at 23.80....

May 1, 2000: $43.56

With a P/E (Price to Earnings) ratio of just over 10, this *should* be an excellent time to buy Disney.

The key is to keep an eye on things over the next few days and weeks b/c all the rules have changed.

Re: Buy! Buy! Buy! Buy!

Disney is now down to $22.00 a share...

I wonder how much I could get for two ninja cats.

A lot I bets!

I am not a big stock person and the best I can come up with is Scottrade.com. Can anyone recommend anything better than what they are offering?

I might really suggest this as a gift idea to my father- it really would be a neat one!

Last year, Disney paid 0.31 cents per share. If you buy the stock, you are not going to get rich on the dividend, although over the years it has added to our portfolio. Many companies have suspended or reduced their dividends as of late (I wonder why). Disney will not be announcing the dividend until mid December, and will pay it out in early January.

Re: Buy! Buy! Buy! Buy!

Didn't think it was a get rich quick plan.. But I love the idea of owning a little piece of Magic. Just got a new born grandson and have been thinking of something different to give as a special gift..

sure it's not a big return but it is fun to receive just a little each year

I AM getting almost 4k from the govt for attorney fees..

Hmm. That's almost 200 shares..

Re: Buy! Buy! Buy! Buy!

I do all my trading through Sogotrade They were giving away 100 free trades and to be open I get some free ones also if someone signs up through me. There is a minimum amount you can fund with and get the free stuff but there did not used to be an account minimum and it is only $3.00 a trade which is the lowest I have found online. Disney is one of my few holds right now and it is going to be a buy if it goes much lower. It is only low because everything else is. No matter what I will hold onto it as it is a sentimental deal for me and it will come back.
