the lion king on broadway

has anyone seen "the lion king" on broadway? i had the pleasure of seeing it this year on my birthday. it is such a beautiful and wonderful show. i highly recommend everybody to go see it. it is as beautiful as the movie itself. it's hard to say what's better because both of them are just brilliant.
my then boyfriend took me to see it. my college was selling tickets to see it for $10 a piece a month prior but the tickets sold out before i could buy them. he must have kept that thought in his head that i wanted to see the lion king 'cause we saw it together a month later.

We saw it a few weeks ago in Chicago. It was wonderful. The costumes are incredible. The opening scene almost brought a tear to my eye. It was very emotional!
I took my mom, sister and daughter with we all enjoyed it. My daughter is 3 and some parts were a little to scary for her. In particular whem Mufasa dies. The Hyena costumes are a little frightening.
I am going again in the fall as a school field trip. Can't wait to see it again.
Would reccomend it to any one who gets a chance to go.
The Lion King is now my daughter's favorite movie!

i agree karen. when i saw the lion king this year, and they played the circle of life, i started crying. the lion king has to be, so far, my favorite disney movie. i also cried when mufasa died, i always get emotional when mufasa dies and then simba cries, and i cried at the end. i was just in awe the whole time i sat through the show. i would love to see it again.

I saw the Lion King on Broadway 7 monthes ago, in Dec. I loved it soo much!! It was my first broadway show ever, and it really blew me away. The opening and Closing of the show gave me goose bumps! I was fortunate enough to go with my aunt and uncle who had free tickets for the orchestra section! lol. I downloaded the soundtrack afterward, not a week goes by when I dont listen to The Lioness hunt, or the grand Finale! lol

It was a wonderful show. We have seen Lion King and we have seen Band the B twice. Want to go back to LK a second time and get better seats. We were way up in the balcony (Went with DW's school) and would love to be up close to the action!:)

Great questions! I would probably pick Cinderella since it is my mom's favorite movie, and its such a classic. I would love to see how they would do that on stage!
