I am watching FoxNews) (owned by Disney and they said Disney stock is up 62 % after Spet11..... Way 2 Go Eisner, thanks for making me money!

Disney4648, are you sure that Disney owns Fox news? I thought Fox was part of Rupert Murdoch's empire. I know that Disney owns ABC though.

Disney stock has gone up 60% since its low following 9/11, but it really isn't as impressive as it sounds. It fell to 15.50 back then and it is (finally) up to 24.95, but its high last June was about $35. It still has a lot of potential, I guess. I sure hope it keeps making you money! We DC members are certainly doing our part to help the stock rise.:D

Lopo- Disney owns 50% of Fox News, Fox Sports Net, Fox Family(abc family) and Fox Interactive. They bought it from News Corp a few months ago....no joke

and to believe it, i bought disney stock at $34! :( not too good

Wow... I knew they bought FOX Family (now ABC Family), but I thought they bought it outright, and I didn't know any of FOX Sports or FOX News was included in the deal.

I am very happy that the stock went up but I am just about even.. but I really don't think I own the stock to make money.. I think I own it so I can tell everyone that I own a piece of Mickey Mouse... :) :) :)

iamagrump, that's exactly why I have been meaning to buy a share of the stock. I wouldn't expect to make money (considering the number of shares I could afford to purchase), but it sure would be fun to own a piece of Disney.:D I just wish that I made my purchase when the stock was priced at $15.50:(

Trust me my shares were given to me as a gift from my mom and dad. I have a couple but not because I had the money to buy them. but I think that I might go to the site Mickey suggested and see what they have.

Since my soon-to-be 7 yr.old(May 16 is her birthday) is the only one in the family with Disney stock, it's good to see her making money.:p :p

I was watching Fox News a few days ago after school and I noticed that they were talking about a company called : Vivendi Universal. The font of the logo was the same as the "Universal Orlando Font" and does any one know if this is the company that owns Universal and IOA?
