i've been a member of the Disney Movie Club for over a year now. because of the club and their great sales, i've expanded my movie collection greatly. my collection started when both "Toy Story" and "Toy Story 2" were going in the vault. since then, i've been collecting the movies for my viewing pleasure. i do plan on collecting them on video for a keepsake. anyway, i was on ultimatedisney.com a while ago to see how many more animated classics i need to complete my collection. i'm only 11 away from having all 44 animated movies on DVD! here is what i'm missing from my collection:

Pinocchio
Bambi
Cinderella
Lady and the Tramp
101 Dalmations
The Jungle Book
The Little Mermaid
Aladdin
Mulan
Tarzan
Home on the Range

With "Home on the Range" coming out next month and "Aladdin" in October, I'll have 9 more to go. Then, "Bambi" comes out next March followed by "Cinderella." Within the next few years, my collection will be complete. Yeah!! i'm so excited.
along the way of completing my collection, i also have been collecting the sequels as well to many movies. i've lost count at the moment as to how many animated movies i have. i know it's over 40 though. believe you me, i have been tempted to buy most of these movies from amazon.com being that they were part of the Gold Collection, but I really want them in the Special Edition Collection to have all the bonus features.
i know what would really make me happy to have in my collection is "Song of the South." i never saw it and am really hoping that Disney will release it one day so i can see it.
i'm not bragging about my collection. i'm just excited that i'm 11 movies away from completing it. then, it'll start all over again when i collect them on video to have as keepsakes.

Oh tragic, I am so jealous!! We had a ton of Disney animated movies on DVD before we up-and-moved to California. We ended up selling all of them to a local used movie store and using the money for gas. Now we officially own ZERO Disney movies, and it's killing me! I can't wait until we're settled in AK and can start rebuilding our collection.

P.S. One of the movies we sold to the store was the Limited Issue/Special Edition of The Jungle Book! It ended up being the most valuable out of all our movies. For most of the DVDs, they paid us $4-$6. They paid us almost $8 for that one!
