Disney Movie Club by mail

I have been in the mail-order Disney Movie Club for about 8 months now & I just have to recommend this! You can order through their website, http://www.disneymovieclub.som or through a toll-free # available there.

You get to choose 3 DVDs or VHS videos for a total of $5.95 S/H & only have to buy 4 more over the next 12 months! The standard DVD costs $19.95...not sure about VHS. They have a HUGE catalog & it is all around awesome. I highly recommend that anyone who buys Disney movies look into this route!

Sounds really good Dawn S, but do you know if they would ship to Scotland?

To be honest, I'm not completely sure how Intl. would work out with it. I never thought to look into that.

OK...checked the site. Under FAQ, I found this:

Do you ship internationally?

Unfortunately, we cannot ship internationally.

:( Sorry!

Dawn S, I also think that the club is a great way to build one's DVD library (especially for all of us trying to gradually replace our VHS for DVD) However, I noticed that the club is now offering the following: "To get your collection started, you may select 3 FREE* Disney movies when you agree to purchase at least 6 movies over the course of the next year -- that's 9 Disney movies for the price of 6! Choose from over 125 movies, delivered right to your doorstep." I do remember seeing the better terms that you mentioned though, so I checked the Disney Club website to see if members got a better offer, but it listed the same terms.

IMHO, if one is considering joining the movie club, I would keep my eyes open for a promotion. In fact, when you visit the home page for the club, there is a promo box waiting right there for one to enter a promo code so I am sure that codes are regularly available. Disney fans may receive targeted snail mailings offering special codes to them, for instance. I know that I'll be on the lookout!

the club sounds good, but my only thing is that I like to get them from the disney store. The reason is that I enjoy getting the pictures, my daughter room and the play room are full of the pictures and most of them are great. I also like being able to order the movie before the come out. Disney sends me a order form each time a new movie is coming out, if I want to order the movie I just send the form back and it is charged to my disney credit card. If I don't send the form back they NEVER just send the movie (a lot of movie services do that). This way I stay on top of what movies are available and let my daughter decide if she wants to own it or not.

PS I can't believe I leave on Monday morning. And I haven't even packed.:)

Dawn S,
Thanks for checking that out for me, I guess I will just have to keep buying them from the main street stores as normal:(

Funny, I have found two separate promotions, one from the DisneyClub, the other from a mailing, and they give the exact same terms as listed with no promotional code. Has anyone tried to sign up through the DisneyClub? Is there something special, or are we just missing something here?

By the way, DisneyClub members can use the promotional code DC44 and must call 1-800-362-4587.
