Mickey's Twice upon a christmas trailer

I can't wait to get this..... I love the way they made the Classic Disney character's into the Pixar type animation..... I thought the thing about no more animated features was gonna be bad, although I will miss seeing new ones this is a great idea.

Anyway, here is the link for the trailer.....

Meh, it just didnt look right to me. I think if Disney's going to do the Pixar-type computer animation, they should do it right. This just looks low quality to me. I say they should go back to real hand-drawn cartoon animation if this is what their computer animation is going to look like. Thats just my feelings, though.

I am with you on this one Darth. The characters look "funny" to me. I like them the old way...in their normal state. I'll be getting this one regardless because my DD wants it.

I think it's going to take a while for me to get used to all the computer animation. I will always love regular old cartoons the best... That being said - I have ALWAYS loved Disney Christmas films! I can't wait to buy this one "for my children"

Re: Mickey's Twice upon a christmas trailer

Just my two cents, but I don't like it. I like the hand drawn characters and the hand-drawn features. I had this discussion with my mother yesterday, if this is the direction that disney is moving away from the classic animation and toward the computer animation for classic characters then I will only like classic disney.

I just cannot agree with this move. It looked funny, and I prefer the classic characters to be hand drawn. I told my mother that the only way that lil Brer would be getting this movie would be if she bought it, because I don't intend to buy classic Disney drawn on computer. This is the reason all the animators are leaving to find other jobs and working on films like Shrek and such. Why have a job with Disney when a computer can do your job for you. This is just so sad.

Re: Mickey's Twice upon a christmas trailer

I'm all for CG animation as long as it's done right ~ in fact, having been spoiled by it the past 10 years, hand drawn cartoons look, well, old. Stu thinks that Disney should now hook up with SquareENIX (Final Fanstasy ~ the Movie) After a bit you forget your watching CG! Anyway, I think that the trailer was just a bad internet clip and I'm sure it will look much better on DVD.

Progress ~ How do you think they felt about color way back when. I can just hear them "I don't like the new Technicolor pictures ~ I miss the old black and whites" Every generation has something new to face.

My two cents,
Jen
