Re: National Treasure
I grew up in a masonic family and know that a lot of those symbols like the pyramid and the all seeing eye and the square and compas etc.. are all mason based because of the involvement of Masonry when the forefathers created this country. I would be curious to see how they use them all in this movie. HMMMMMM Very Interesting

Re: National Treasure
Im not sure what they all mean but I know that they are meaningful to any member of the masonic order. They are all symbols of the offices they hold in meetings. It used to be a very exclusive organization and I know that most of the early presidents were all members. Starting with George Washington. But being that I am female- I dont know what they all mean- just that they are masonic in origin.

Re: National Treasure
I was wondering...if the founding fathers had this treasure, why did they hide it when they could have used it...I mean the country was just beginning and needed money. Nevertheless I am still going to go see this movie...I just love Adventure flicks!

OOOOhhhh Please post on what you guys thught of the movie!!! I am wondering whether it is worth seeing, it sounds interesting, but then has this hint of cheesiness. Going to the movies is getting so expensive I have to conserve my money.

Re: National Treasure
Just got back from seeing National Treasure. In one word, Wow! Without a doubt one of the best movies I have seen in years. I think one of the things that really sets it apart is that it was completely appropriate for my 6 year old. She got bored, but there was nothing at all in the movie that would make it so you would be ashamed of taking your mom or grandmother to see it. Very similar to Pirates in that fashion, great entertainment.
I hope you all get a chance to see it, definitely worth the entrance fee. While just fine for kids, it really isn't a movie that would keep them interested. My 9 year old liked it, my 7 year old fell asleep.

Re: National Treasure
Rafikiman & I both absolutely loved it!!!! It has sooooo many facets...adventure, mystery, history, humor...& like Mickey said, nothing in the least bit "off-color." No language, skin, sex, any of that stuff that folks feel they just have to put in a movie anymore. Wonderful family film, but I, too, think the kids need to be a little older so they're not bored. We decided it's one we have to buy when it comes out.
