okay so i used to watch this show back in the 90's but i can't remember the name. it was a about a teenage girl i know she had long curly brown hair, she was apart of a big country family. her parents were divorced (she lived with her siblings, mom, and i think an older man (not really sure what he did)). She had a really geeky neighbor and he like loved her. She used to talk to the "man on the moon" from either her window seat or a balcony that was on her house. the only other thing i remember is that in like maybe the 2nd or 3rd season the family sold the house and they moved in with another family some where else so the mom could be like a housekeeper i think. in one episode i think she did romeo and juliet with this really cute guy she liked, the geeky neighbor got jealous. ummm can't really remember much else but if ANY ONE can remember the name of this show i would be SOOOOOOOO greatful! I think the name may have been like a family name like "The Smiths" for example. Please respond if you know the show i am speaking of thanks so much!

Re: I can't remember the name of this show HELP!
Almost Home
[center]Welcome to the Almost Home episode guide... It all started with "The Torkelsons", a down to earth show about a broken family with little money. There was Millicent, the mother, and her children. Dorothy Jane, 14, was a dreamer, and hated being part of her somewhat 'hillbilly' family. Steven Floyd was rebellious, who would be anyone up for anyone in his family. Chuckie Lee was a more of the 'sissy' kind of person, who loved his mom dearly. Ruth Ann was a wild dresser and a big smart mouth. Mary Sue was the youngest and charmed people with her cutish smile. "The Torkelsons" was cancelled after 20 episodes and was re-titled "Almost Home", with a few more characters. In "Almost Home", The Torkelson family moved to Seattle, where mother Millicent took a job as a nanny for the two spoiled teenage children of a widower. Two of the Torkelson kids were lost [from "The Torkelsons"] in the new series as they never appeared in Seattle and the show pretended they never existed. The new series, which mostly pitted conservative family values against liberal family values, did not do any better in the ratings and disappeared after 13 episodes. Theme Song: Just when you think you've settled down And you feel like you're almost home Just when the wheel starts spinnin round Love sneaks in with a plan of it's own Love comes in unexpected places Life turns in unexpected ways I swear we'll laugh, at these days (at these days) Love comes in unexpected places Life turns in unexpected ways Just when you think you're alone Maybe we're almost home Maybe we're almost home Maybe we're almost ho-ome Show Information First Aired February 1993 Last Aired June 1993 Status Canceled/Ended Running Time 30 min Country United States Network NBC Show Stars Olivia Burnette - Dorothy Jane Torkelson Rachel Duncan - Mary Sue Torkelson Perry King - Brian Morgan Jason Marsden - Gregory Morgan Brittany Murphy - Molly Morgan Lee Norris - Chuckie Lee Torkelson Tony Schnur - Braiden I hope this helps ![]()

Re: I can't remember the name of this show HELP!
So did I, and it was where Britney Murphy got her start. She's the one who is now doing so many movies. You know "Don't say a Word" with Michael Douglas. That famous line "I'll never tell...." and now many other movies. This show used to be on ABC family or some other channel awhile back. I know, because I watched it.
