Scariest Disney Moment

Think back to when you were little kids and recall the scariest scene in any Disney film (live action or animated). The scariest clip ever for me is in Darby O Gill and the Little People (go figure). The scene is when Darby is at his house a dark and stormy night and he hears a ghostly scream outside, goes to open his door and immediately the Banshee appears outside his door!
The movie is based on a series of stories written in 1901. The story of the banshee in this book is 100 times scarier than the movie!

Re: Scariest Disney Moment

the watcher in the woods was a pretty scary movie to me...especially when they keep showing images of the girl with the blindfold in the flashback scenes....pretty creepy, especially for disney!

Re: Scariest Disney Moment

Although not really disney, but MGM, when I was a little kid I was terrified of the flying monkeys in the Wizard of Oz. They were much more frightening to me than the witch. I had nightmares about them flying down and snatching me.

Your scariest moment was with Darby O'Gill and ya name yourself after him?? LOL!

Mine was some stupid science fiction movie. The streetlights were aliens or something. Freaked the heck out of me. LOL!

Yes. When Bami's mom died and in The Fox and the Hound when Tod's mom died.

Re: Scariest Disney Moment

When Ursula gets rammed by the ship in The Little Mermaid, and she gets all electrocuted or whatever. Her skeleton flashes through and everything...I think I was traumatized for months after I saw that!

The scariest thing *other* than a Disney movie, though, was some movie I saw on TV at a slumber party when I was little. I am still TO THIS DAY trying to find out what it was! I just know that there were mysterious evil mosters in it called "Tropopkins" and the story line was some kid reading a comic book, but all the stuff he was reading kept coming true in real life! I was terrified of Tropopkins under my bed for years after that. Does anybody have a clue what movie that is??

I CRIED so much after that. I hate deaths like that being in movies.
But then again... I cry during just about every movie I'm a sap.

Scary... Ursula really freaked me out. One of my favorite movies... but I didn't like to watch when Ursula came on the screen.

The headless Horseman was always pretty scary to me. I always had a hard time with that. I guess that's why that's why that's my favorite part of the MNSSHP parade after the Headless Horseman goes by... they've got nothing left to scare me.

Yeah, that scene was a bit OTT or ODD ~ I still can't get it right. It's the first one that I thought of when I read the first post.

The little evil things in Sleeping Beauty used to scare me... and the dragon too, I'm sure, but the creepy pig-things stick out in my mind.
