Re: Chicken Little Number 1 at Box Office

This is great news, the opening weekend for chicken little was expected to make under 30 million, but it made over 40. That's great!

Re: Chicken Little Number 1 at Box Office

We were part of that $40 million weekend! IT WAS AWESOME! LOVED IT, LOVED IT! We will be going back to see it in the theater again! I laughed so hard I cried! My DH said one thing for sure is happening right now, Pixar is realizing Disney doesn't need them as much as they thought.

Re: Chicken Little Number 1 at Box Office

Good, the reviews are sounding great, so I expect this weekend to do well also as word of mouth get those more reserved out there to see it and others return to watch again.

Good Job Disney!

Congradulations Disney, I guess you have an idea on how to do animation. Pixar is great but Disney can do it too!

Re: Chicken Little Number 1 at Box Office

I'm glad to hear it. The last few films didn't exactly set the box office on fire, so it's cool they have a hit again!

it is funny. i read entertainment weekly's review and they gave it a C. sometimes reviews can do wonders for business, even if they're so-so to bad reviews.

That's why you should never trust anthing Entertainment Weekly says. Now I'm not saying Lisa S. and Matt G. are terrible film critics, but...well, a blind man can do better at reviewing a movie than those two. Everything they put down the public loves, and vice versa. That magazine knows NOTHING of good entertainment. I mean come on, they named Chris Rock funniest man in America? You kidding me?! It was so wonderful watching the Family Guy movie and seeing Stewie let EW have it!

(no offense if any of you if you do work for EW, but may want to get to another magazine and not have that on your resume)

thank goodness it is not just us .. when DH mentioned this to start with I was reminded of the bad reviews Lion King received ..and we all know what a wonderful movie it was. But I agree .. when the critics like a movie, I know it is not something I care anything about seeing .. and saddly lately if it is an oscar winner .. It is nothing worth watching in mho.
