Oldies but goodies!
I voted for old films. I really think the films made through the fifties were much better than the films. Although I like Lion King and Beauty and the Beast, nothing beats Snow White, Peter Pan and Cinderella. I think the worst films were made during the seventies and early eighties. Uuuughhhh!

Well it is hard to choose
Well I voted for both because old films like Peter Pan and Cinderella I love them but I love The Emporer's New groove too so I voted both.:)

The tecnology used by Pixar is so awsome, so I voted new.
My only problem with recent movies is the live action movies. I mean how many more Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen movies do we need. Especially because they are such great actresses ![]()

Just take them old movies off the shelf....
I love the older disney movies like Bed Knobs & Broomsticks, Cinderella and ofcourse everyone's favorite Herbie the Love Bug!I have to agree that the technology is awesome in the new movies -- but way back when Disney was about imagining not seeing in 3D. |

Golly! This is an especially thought-provoking question! IMO, I would not select either one over the other. I have enjoyed viewing all sorts of Disney movies for most of my life. The first film I ever saw in a big movie theater was "101 Dalmatians" and I have seen that film and dozens of others many times over. I love Snow White, Cinderella, Bambi, Peter Pan, Mary Poppins, Fantasia, Pollyanna, The Moonspinners, Annie, The Parent Trap (original), The Santa Clause, Remember the Titans, Dumbo, Pinocchio, Fantasia (original), Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Homeward Bound, both Toy Story I and II and . . . well, as you can see, my "favorites" span decades. There are so many Disney classics, new and old. I think that the majority of people continually enjoy Disney films and often look forward to new ones. Thankfully, there haven't been a lot of Disney clunkers! The only Disney movies that seem to be quickly forgotten are those that are made to highlight the "in" person/people at the time (i.e., Mary Kate and Ashley and/or Jonathan Taylor Thomas) they are made. I sure hope that the studio continues to offer us new, quality, family entertainment and makes the old films available to us, too.

Ack!
I voted 'New'; I had to be honest. As a kid, (in the 60's and 70's) Disney movies didn't do anything for me. It wasn't until I was an adult - Beauty and the Beast specifically - that I started to get interested. The Pixar films, B&B, Mulan, and Atlantis are my faves.
I can look back to the older films with appreciation and enjoy them, but I get a bigger kick out of the most recent stuff. Of course, I'm talking mostly animated here. The non-animated stuff has always been hit or miss, and I wouldn't give the edge to the older or the newer. Bruce |
