Question about first POTC...

Ok so for the curse of that treasure to be lifted, they needed all of the pieces to be returned and the blood repaid. The part I didn't get was why the Turner's blood was needed to lift the curse. I didn't really get what was "Boot-strap Bill's" connection to the treasure was and why his blood was needed to lift the curse

Well if i remeber right Boot-strap bill was turners father. So the only way to get the curse lifted was to get blood from boot strap and he is dead so will was the only other way

Yea I get that part about his blood line still runs in Will but I'm confused about the origin of Boot-Strap's connection to the cursed treasure.

You know, that's a really good question. I don't think I ever quite understood that connection either.

Was he the one who originally stole the treasure? Could that be it?

I was under the impression that Boot Strap Bill was the one who aquired that last piece of "the gold," that's why his blood had to be repaid. After his demise he left the gold to his son Will Turner. If you remember in the first scene it was a little Will with it around his neck. I can't remember exactly how or why Boot Strap aquired that last piece but I know it was mentioned in like one line of the movie. I just might have to rewatch it again, 'cause now it's bothering me.

I am pretty sure it was mentioned near the beginning of the movie when they explained how Jack Sparrow hot left for dead on the island.

he was one of the originial pirates that stole the gold to break the curse they had to return each and every piece..

But here's a twist. Since Bootstrap was one of the pirates who stole the gold, that would've made him cursed as well, and since the cursed pirates couldn't die, when the other pirates dropped Bootstrap into the ocean, he was still technically alive. Think he had long enough time to find away to escape maybe? Hmm.....

Nope. That is Davey Jones. I've no clue if Bootstrap will be in this movie or the next one, provided he even survived.
