"Pirates 2" Review

We were fortunate enough to get to see the movie this evening. While parts of it were better than the first movie, I don't know if I would go so far as to say the movie as a whole was better.

I was glad to see that a lot of the same characters were back, and the movie moved rather quickly for a 2 1/2 hour film. I was also glad to see some more of the ride brought alive in the movie.

On a side note, this is a PG-13 movie. While I will admit I took both our DS (7) and DD (5), this movie may not be suitable for all children.

I am sure your two will love it. It is more of a comedy than the first movie. In my opinion, there was too much "Slap Stick Comedy" for me, but it is perfect for young teens and young adults.

I would encourage everyone to watch the first movie again before you see the second. There are a lot of characters from the first movie that are in the sequel.

Kellog's is a sponsor of the movie, I got a call from them Monday asking if I wanted to take the family to see it. We get to see a lot of movies this way, but this was the first one where they searched our bags (looking for recording devices) and used the "Wand" on us before we went in.

I was going to. DS and I were pirates a few years ago for Haloween. Unfortunately, I had to work late and barely had time to pick up the fam before the movie started.
