Good news for Toy Story 3?

I've seen this rumor on a few other sites so it's getting a little easier for a skeptic like me to beleive...

"Toy Story 3 is a computer-animated film, a sequel to Toy Story and Toy Story 2 that was to be produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation through Circle 7 Animation with a release planned for 2008. This version of the film stopped production in January 2006. In February 2006, however, Pixar Animation Studios, the creators of the series, took over production. Currently, there is no exact release date announced.

In July 2006, Tim Allen confirmed that he and Tom Hanks will be reprising their roles of Buzz Lightyear and Woody respectively [1], and that John Lasseter, director of the first two Toy Story films, will be directing again. [2] Recently it was discovered that Lasseter has completely scrapped the old Disney script for the movie and started creating one that fits in better with the other two."

I love the Toy Story movies. I think they are my favorite because my little one loved Buzz so much when he was tiny.

He used to carry his Buzz doll around so much that the plastic bubble helmet on his head was so scratched you could barely see his face.

I hope they do well. It seems that hollywood REQUIRES a popular film franchise to be at least a trilogy. I am very happy with the two films and am a bit anxious that a third is just daring the possibility of ending a good pair of films that make a great story with a disappointing flop. I will keep my fingers crossed...but I guess I am just getting tired of sequels.
