Nightmare Before Christmas in 3-D! WOW!

Yesterday I was at home sick all day, I have some pretty bad asthmatic bronchitis. So after sleeping most of the day away Daniel came home and said, "Hey, I found a theater that is doing the Nightmare Before Christmas in 3-D, do you think you can make it through the movie, do you feel up to it?" Well, I took my medicines and sucked it up because I was dying to see this!!!

Now, I kinda expected some grainy 3-D version of tNBC but WOW, WOW, WOW was I wrong. This whole new "Disney Digital 3-D" is UNBELIEVEABLE!!! It was like watching the movie in High Definition on a Plasma screen & yes, 3-D! The picture was CRYSTAL CLEAR and SO sharp!

Serisouly, if this is playing ANYWHERE near you (we drove 45 minutes) it is SO worth it! You get to see a couple cool Disney movie previews in 3-D too, a Pixar short in 3-D, and perhaps one of the coolest parts was seeing the "Disney Pictures" logo segment in 3-D, the castle comes on and it's SO beautiful! The whole audience literally went "Wooooah" & "OoOOooo" when the screen turned high def. 3-D.

Oh, and you get to keep the cool Disney Digital 3-d glasses

AMAZING!!! ed it!

Because not enough theatres are capable of the Digital 3D projection. Next year this time, the amount of theatres is suppose to double.

I, too, drove an hour and a half to see it and it was well worth the trip.

The movie is already great, but the 3D is simply amazing. I have never been able to see 3D, or 4D movies well, but this is a whole other quality of 3D. It gives so much needed depth and realistic perspective to this movie, that I can no longer imagine seeing it any other way. It was as if this is how the movie should of been all along. Everyone, please go see it if you get the opportunity.

Hey skwak, I am not sure where in north Jersey you are but we drove all the way up to the Jersey Gardens Loew's AMC 20 theater to see it (it's right next to the Newark airport), and I noticed there were some theaters on Staten Island showing it too, but then again I was putting in MY zip code so it was giving me the theaters closest to me.

Good luck, its worth it!

Amen!!! My husband has ALWAYS had problems with 3-D movies cause of his glasses and apparant high eye prescription, he said THIS was crystal clear for him!! The glasses aren't those cheaper paper ones that won't stay on either, they are heavy duty big black glasses!

Ours were Green (but heavy duty) and they asked for them back at the end of the show!! I thought we paid the $2 extra per person for the glasses. And from what I read online and here, they were suppose to be for the customer to take home. Oh well. We returned ours.. I dont guess I would of done much with them if I had taken them.

Spider,
it's interesting that you compared it to watching a movie in HD on an LCD - that's EXACTLY what a buddy of mine who saw it compared it to.
I don't have an HD or an LCD but I can imagine what that means.
His girlfriend, though said that she didn't notice that much 3D as she expected. Anbc has a lot of intricate sculptures, I would have thought they'd pop out at you, but it sounds more like the picture makes it seem as there's 'depth', not so much '3rd dimension'.

I heard some kids say the same.

However, It was exactly what I expected. But yes, the movie goes deep into the screen, not out of the screen toward your face (much). To me, this movie was truly the proper 3D for what you are going to watch. For me, it was simply taking a great movie I already love and making it that much better. I didn't go expecting it to be a new movie with amazing in your face 3D thrown in somehow. I knew the movie I was going to see, and the depth gave it a new sense of realism and feel.

I'm glad to hear it's so good, I REEEALLY want to see it, it's one of my favourite movies. I suppose I should get off my butt and find out where it's playing before it disappears..

Saw it today in Edgewater. Very, very good. Not IMAX eye-popping good but very nicely done. Worth seeing IMO!
