Yesterday being such an important day Nationally, I of course had to run out at lunch and.................

Buy Cars on DVD. (by the way, I also voted on the way home from work)

When I got home the kids were swarming around the door because they know that Dad always buys certain DVD''s as soon as they are available. I don''t buy all DVD''s but the ones that are keepers are usually first day purchases.
The funny thing this time is that I was the only member in my family (and maybe my 2 year old Susannah as well, not sure) who had not seen this movie yet. My kids and DW saw it over the summer and they all raved about it.
We bought the PS2 game for DS for his birthday so I did see some of the storyline but still I was anxious to see the movie.
So I opened the packaging and inserted to DVD. We settled down and watched.
What a great movie.

I am always amazed at the quality of all of the Pixar movies.
They are great for kids but there are always things put in for the adults to enjoy as well. Of course me being a big kid means I win on both sides.
I am so glad that Disney and Pixar settled their differences.

I loved the part after the movie when they were at the drive in and Mack was watching the clips. Very creative. I am a big John Ratzenberger fan. Loved Cliff Claven. The kids and I played name the John Ratzenberger character in the Pixar movies. Very cool time.

I highly recommend this move to anyone who has not seen it.

That part was soo clever. We always try to figure out which voice he is doing in a Pixar movie, since he has done just about every one! When we saw it in the theater, (3 times) we were amazed at how many people walked out before that part!

I got my preorder copy in the mail yesterday too! I was very impressed that disneydirect had shipped the orders prior to 11/7 so those of us who pre order could receive it on the release date, instead of waiting for them ship!

We also just bought a new big screen HDTV and I can tell you this movie plays as one of the best I've seen on this screen. It was actually produced in 16x9 so it would appear better on big screens-and it totally was!

And since were on a pre-disney budget, it might have to wait till christmas!

Disney and Pixar are doing movies together again?? THAT is wonderful news!
