Can you think of a moment in a Disney movie (specifically animated but it could be live action if you want) that just gives you that amazingly awesome feeling of magic or respect for the art of animation/skill of acting/editing?

I'm not exactly talking about favorite moment per-say. More like a discovery that gives you a goosebumpy feeling. Maybe its something that makes you gasp the first time you see it. Maybe its something that makes you rewind and watch again. Maybe its a joke you finally get after the tenth time of hearing it. Maybe its something in a scene you've seen hundreds of times and never noticed before.

For me, its the scene in The Little Mermaid where Ariel is on her rock and the waves crash behind her...but its not just that. It's the tiniest detail, where she's crouching low and about to straighten with the wave...her hand on the rock flexes; her fingers roll over it in succession in anticipation. Pop in the movie and see for yourself. Sorry for gushing, but I never noticed it til just recently, and it makes me personally appreciate Disney's (maybe old ideal ) of attention to realistic detail. Beautiful.

Please limit your answers to stuff that's clean; none of that "dirty things Aladdin says" etc..you know the drill.

When Lady goes from Puppy to doggy in LaTT....it's just a BEAUTIFUL moment! I can never get over that beautiful transition!

Now that I think about it, SNOW WHITE.

Not my favorite, not by a long shot (I'm sorry, but her voice has always made my teeth itch), but when I was watching it recently I couldn't help but think about how the Disney team made the entire thing BY HAND. No computers back then, no awesome CGI, just a bunch of talented and dedicated artists.

It isn't as smooth as modern work, but you can literally stop on any frame and look at an amazing piece of craftsmanship. The forest backdrops alone are still stunning.

Respect for the art of animation indeed...

When Mickey gets control of the orchestra in Fantasia. Actually, where this gets me is in Philharmagic...I LOVE it.

Also, when Aladdin and Jasmine are on the magic carpet ride. "I can show you the world..." - such beautiful, sweet love! Gets me everytime!

And I agree, Voldemort...Snow White isn't a huge favorite but I'll be darned if I don't have a high respect for their accomplishments back then.

Speaking of which, I have another one! The wishing well scene in Snow White, and how it ripples over the image when she sings. How'd they do that back in the day??

I loved the dinner scene in Beauty and the Beast. That song Be Our Guest gives me that magical feeling everytime. Makes me instantly want to go to WDW.

When Belle and the Beast are dancing. I think it's the most beautiful moment in Disney movie history. It was done perfectly!

I love that scene Ginger, in fact when my mom got married that was their song and they had a statue of beauty and the beast on their cake, doesn't say much for her hubby but it works for me lol!
