Piglet's Big Movie

I'm thinking about taking my 2 year old son to see Piglet's Big Movie.

My question is for parent's of toddlers: Would you take a 2 year old to the movie theater? It will be a weekday matinee.

You know your little guy best. Is he able to sit through a movie at home and is Piglett something he want's to see? If the answer to both of those questions is yes, then go for it. Even if you are unsure, try it and leave if he loses interest. Oh, and take lots of snacks!! We're hoping to take our DD this weekend. Let me know what you think of it. I think I remember reading that MickeyMac fell asleep.

It's been ages since DD was that little, but she was always mesmerized by movies & tv. She could sit for hours if we let her. Also, our neighbors have a little boy that's the same way. They've been taking him to movies since he was about 2 and a half & he's been fine. He'll come over here with me & we'll have a "date night" & we'll watch a Disney movie & you won't hear a peep out of him all movie!

If this helps, we took our DS at about 3 (he may have been 2 1/2, I just can't remember ) to see Monsters Inc. He just loved it and sat through the whole thing as good as gold. We had lots of popcorn, a few sweet things, and a soda. We have been to several movies since then and have never had a problem. Try it, the worst that can happen is that you have to leave.

I think I will! Ds loves Elmo, and can sit and watch Elmo all day long...if he has his blankie. He recognizes Pooh. I'll let you know how it goes!

We took Nicholas, my 23 month old to see Jungle Book 2 and Piglet movie. JB2 was about an hour long and had more "hip" songs so he was entranced throughout. Piglet is longer and a little "calmer" of a movie. He still made it through, but it was not quite as interesting to him. Still, I do not think you will have a problem. We went opening weekends to both of these cause we knew there would be lots of kids (and there was). The thing is all the kids in there actually make you feel more at ease having a one year old and even make the movie more enjoyable (laughing at the silliest jokes). I think you will find it no problem.

Take Him!! It is a kids movie and I've never been to a kid movie where it is quiet, regardless. We took DD and she was good but not perfect but she also wasn't the worst behaved kid there she was just being a toddler. We loved it!

Take his blankie with you. It'll make him feel right at home!
