Peter Pan dvd...love it!!

some of you might remember from my TR that my DD hated the peter pan ride because the crocodile was scarey. well she has been seeing the previews for the new release of peter pan on dvd, and has been saying she wanted to get the moive. i wanted to have the movie too, so we got it today!! i had never seen the real peter pan, only the robin williams movie "hook". all i can say is WOW!!

now i get it....about the magic of pixie dust and the lost boys etc. i love wendy and tink....i love them all!! LOL

peter pan is now my ALL TIME FAVE

megan, my DD, is now all excited about riding peter pan on our next trip. she laughed at the crocodile in the movie. as soon as it was over, she said, "i want to watch it again", so we are on our second screening for the day!

we Disney!!

Re: Peter Pan dvd...love it!!

I'm going to have to go buy it now! I don't remember the movie either, but my daughter loves when tinkerbell comes on in the beginning of every Disney movie, so maybe I will get it, and we could have a family night watching Peter Pan tonight.

That's great! I love Peter Pan too, it's my favorite (and Snow White of course!). It really does have the Disney Magic in it doesn't it?

Re: Peter Pan dvd...love it!!

We just got the DVD Wednesday and my DS 5 keeps watching it over and over. It has a lot of extra features but we haven't had a chance to see them yet. It is a great story!

Re: Peter Pan dvd...love it!!

Myself, my husband, and my 2 year old daughter watched it last night! I forgot how good Peter Pan is, and my daughter LOVED it. She thought Tinkerbell was the best part though!

Re: Peter Pan dvd...love it!!

We don't have the DVD yet but over the last 3 weeks my son has watched the video at least 6 times, it's his new favorite movie. He was stuck in bed after surgery so we dug out some Disney movies he hadn't seen in years (or had never seen) to help pass the time and Peter Pan ended up being his favorite.

Re: Peter Pan dvd...love it!!

The first time I saw Peter Pan I was a little girl lying on the hood of my daddy's car at the drive-in. I remember it like it was yesterday because I just loved that movie.

I guess it's time I go buy the DVD.

OMG Chottsy, my DD won't go on the Peter Pan ride anymore b/c of the crocodile too!!! She was almost 3 when it scared her, now she's 6 1/2 and keeps telling me that there is no way she is going on the Peter Pan ride this April!!! I'll have to get her the DVD and hopefully it will change her mind too!

Oh, good, Stephanie, someone who has seen the video recently!

We just got the DVD last night, and DS is now on his second time through this afternoon.

In the video (and for anyone who remembers the original movie, please sound in), isn't the present that Hook leaves for Peter a bottle of poison? Tink drinks the poison and nearly dies , and everyone has to clap to say they believe in fairies to save her?

In the DVD, the present is a bomb, which blows up the hideout. Tink's light is weak, but Peter doesn't ask anyone to clap to help out Tink. I don't remember this at all! Am I crazy?

I have the same memory of Jungle book....ahh good ol days.

I love Peter pan...I have the VHS and probally should grab the DVD before it goes back into the vault. It's definately one of my all time favorites and the main reason the Peter pan ride is so magical to us.

unfortunately i was one of those kids whose parents were not into disney. (poor deprived child.... ) so i was never exposed to the magic. we went on 1 family trip to WDW when i was about 5yo. that was it. i had story books about cinderella & snow white, and i knew who mickey & his pals were, but other than that....i was clueless.

it wasn't until i had my own daughter that i realized what i was missing!!

so in a very real sense my daughter and i together are sharing our 1st experiences with everything disney .

maybe that's part of why i love disney so much?
