CONTRACTOR CAUGHT TRYING TO SELL DISNEY DATA

The Disney Movie Club sent letters to the members. I got one this week.
People are such jerks. I work too hard to build a good credit portfolio for some low life to destroy in mere moments becasue they are too lazy to work and earn money to get things like most folks.
I know I am suppose to pray for folks but I tell you..I'd like to lay some "unholy" hands on a few transgressors!

We haven't gotten a letter yet. My wife signed up about a month ago for DMC.

You really have to be kidding me. These people who think that they can get somethig for nothing amaze me. I am in charge of everyone in my department's payroll information, including addresses, phones, and SSNs, and I couldn't imagine using it for my own gain. Everyone knows that companies like Disney use outside contractors to fulfill there obligations to consumers; however, apparently this company didn't take all the steps to insure that information was not compromised. If I were Diney, I'd be asking them what they planned to do to ensure that this kind of incident doesn't happen again, and if the answer was not sufficient I'd take my business elsewhere. Disney has too good a reputation to put up with this kind of stuff.

I couldn't agree with you more. I was going to join this movie club awhile back and just never did...kinda glad I didn't either right now. My credit, while hardly perfect, is not something I need people messing with....I really hope disney gets a bit involved with this situation...

We're DMC members and haven't received a letter yet. I am afraid that this will not go over well AT ALL with DH. He is totally PARANOID about identity theft!

i just received my letter last week. they assured me up and down that the information was sold to the federal agents, and not anyone else. just as a precaution, i called AMEX and let them know.
