DD and I went to the Hannah Montana movie tonight . . .

and it was really cute. I was kicking myself through the whole movie, though, for not actually taking her to the concert! She had a great time, and it was great to get some mother-daughter special time!

Re: DD and I went to the Hannah Montana movie tonight . . .

Awe! Too cute!!
Isn't it a 3-D movie..how did that work out?? Sometimes even the excellent 3-D movies at WDW give me a little headache so I am not sure I could sit through it but I'd like to see it.
If only I could find a little girl to take so I don't look quiet so lame.

Don't worry there were plenty of "Moms" there sans kids!! Cuz I think they brought teens with them that didn't want to be seen with them . . . know what I mean???? They give out 3D glasses, similar to the ones in the park, only more like the size and shape of the one Tom Cruise made popular when he danced in his boxers!!!

Re: DD and I went to the Hannah Montana movie tonight . . .

My daughter went with her friends on Sunday. I let them go in alone as I didn't feel like paying for one more ticket.
Don't worry about not taking her to the concert as you probably wouldn't have been able to get tickets. They were sold out in minutes. I tried with absolutely no success.

Re: DD and I went to the Hannah Montana movie tonight . . .

I'm glad you had a great time, Mom and Daughter time is so important. DD#1 mentioned once that she wanted to go but hasn't brought it up again so I haven't made any efforts to procure tickets. I'm sure it was the next best thing to being at the HM concert and the 3-D effect was a special twist.
We're just going to have to wait for the DVD.

I was wondering if my almost-7 yr old grand daughter would like this. Is she too young?

We went last night and it was great! My DD loves those Jonas Brothers, too, especially Nick. I think your 7 year old Granddaughter would like it!

Re: DD and I went to the Hannah Montana movie tonight . . .

Oh good, thanks.

I heard Miley Cyrus being interviewed on the radio yesterday and she said she made the movie to make it up to those who were affected by the ticket scandal and those just not able to get in to the concert.

Re: DD and I went to the Hannah Montana movie tonight . . .

I took DD to see this on Feb 1 at 1:00 p.m. We loved it! The 3D was amazing, only the concert scenes were in 3D. The behind-the-scenes shots were regular. We actually considered buying concert tickets. There were some available on e-bay for the Orlando concert at the end of Jan. for a price we were willing to pay. They were mostly in the 2nd tier, so we decided to enjoy the front-row feel of the movie instead.

Our theater was almost empty. There was DD and I and a group of about 8 little girls ages 6 and younger. They were so cute they were singing and dancing and all dressed in their Hannah best. They were too cute.

It was a good time for DD and I.

If she likes Hannah/Miley and can sit through a movie, she will love it!

I agree. My DD said it seemed like she was looking right at her. If your DD likes the Jonas Bros., there were some really great close ups of them as well.

We're thinking of taking DD this weekend. I'm glad to read that others liked it, and thought it was worth it.

We actually had tickets in a shopping cart, but we didn't go through with the purchase because I just couldn't justify that kind of money to see a 15 year old sing! DD has no idea that we had them and didn't buy them! What an idiot I am! I really wish I had taken her now, because that movie is really fun--I can only imagine how much fun the concert was!
