Re: Who is going to see Wall-e today?

I will be waiting for the next rainy day after this weekend. It does look like a good movie.

WE ARE!!!!

Amazingly enough, as we were driving past the cinema on the way to work this morning 6-2-6 and I saw that Wall-e had actually made it down to our island for opening day.

We're going to the late show tonight.

Wow, that adorable little robot actually made it across the great blue ocean on opening day!!! I'm impressed.

As were we.

It's not often that the "big" movies make it here for opening day. The Simpsons Movie did, but it's much more the exception than the rule.

Re: Who is going to see Wall-e today?

I just got back. It was really cute. There was not much dialog, and I had to explain to my 8 and 6 year olds what was happening through part of the movie. I could see where it would be a little over the heads of pre-schoolers...

There was one girl in our movie that kept saying out-loud that she wanted to go home-but she sounded very little (maybe even Ariel would not have gotten her attention)...

Also, there were some not so subtle messages in there as well...
Overall, It was fun!

Already planned to keep an ear out for him. He's bound to be in there somewhere.

EDIT: According to IMDB, he's there, as the voice of "John."

Re: Who is going to see Wall-e today?

I am trying desparately to find a sitter for the twins (2 yo), so we can take our DD5 to see it. She has been asking to have a "date" with mom and dad to go see it for about 2 months now. I really hope we can make it!

We took the kids to see this at 12am (yep you heard me... ) and they actually stayed interested. I however, liked Kungfu panda much better...guess I just like more action...

Re: Who is going to see Wall-e today?

We took our DGS (11) & DGD (7) to see it. She fell asleep. I asked DGS if he would like to see it again? He said NO! I asked if he would like the DVD when it came out? Again, he said NO! My DH nor I really cared for it either. I like most Pixar & Disney movies, but this one was a let down for us. The little show before the main movie was cute. The kids got their free watches, too.

I saw on a pod cast on that Pixar considers John a "Good Luck Charm" and will always cast him in every film they make!

It was a GREAT film . . . we d it too!
