And Vanessa Hudgens is?????????

Hey, whatever there.... if it was up to me, I'd boot her from the company, but she is making them millions. And she was employed by them before her little "incident." I'm sure she at least got a warning from the company, considering she hasn't done anything completely terrible, again. But taking on someone who already has a bad reputation probably isn't the best idea.

With the Miley Cyrus/Vanessa Hudgens incidents, I think the media should cut them some slack. Regular teenagers get caught doing "naughty" things everyday. (However, regular teenagers aren't millions of little girls' role models.) Yet, someone who gets paid to act trashy.... that's another story.

Re: Paris Hilton to play Tinker Bell?

I agree with you LittleMissMagic about Holly Madison. Most little girls won't OR SHOULDN'T know who Holly is but if she played Tink you know the media would have it plastered EVERYWHERE! I would NOT take my 8 year old DD to see EITHER one of them play Tink. NEITHER of them are women I won't my DD to model her self after! Well, come to think of it there is no one in Hollywood I won't her to model her self after!

Re: Paris Hilton to play Tinker Bell?

Well we'll agree to disagree! the suggestion seems that because Hudgens makes Disney millions its OK to look over her 'little incident' as you call it or nude/porn pictures as I call it and doesn't that mean that at some point she was being paid to be trashy too?
As for these women being role models to small children, I find it incredulous that you can believe that children would be influenced by the real lives of these people as opposed to the character they are portraying on screen. The only reason children would know of the real life adventures of these grown women is if they were allowed access to the type of gutter press/gutter television that reports these things or if they were told.
Most Hollywood stars have a past of some sort and if we were to be judge and jury on every actor/ actress then no one would ever go to the cinema at all.
My daughter grew up obsessed with Judy Garland, however she isn't a drug addicted drunk- give kids some credibility please.

I see your point Dixie, to this day my 11 yr. old DD does not know about the Vanessa Hudgens incident. I have chosen to shield her from it as she is not at all ready for that and I don't want to destroy the images she has of Gabriella. I agree, certainly not the best choice she could have made, but I don't think it defines her. I also don't believe she got paid "to be trashy." She made a stupid mistake, and I hope she learns from it and moves on.

However, we discussed the Miley pics and used it as a tool about choices, growing up, and being in the spotlight. I think the pics of the 2 girls represent different thing. I didn't find Miley's pics nearly as offensive as Vanessa's.

Now a playboy bunny, which is what she is famous for, is not my idea of a rolde model for my child. She gets paid to take nude pictures for print. Not good.

They do begin to want to know about their real lives as they get older. They start to ask questions and hear things especially at school. Playboy bunnies, IMO, do not make a good fit with Disney or young girls.

I simply hope they don't make the live version of the film.

.
Sometimes it is the other kids at school that inform them of this. My daughter knew NOTHING of the Vanessa Hudgens OR Miley incidents until a child at school told her all about it.

I also think this topic is becoming a little TOO INTENSE and maybe we should take a deep breath before typing a reply.

And both you and I know it will never ever happen! However, I agree with everything you said almost- you have a very similar parenting approach to my own, however, as in Miley we could of used the VH photos and the career of Holly Madison as examples of ill informed choices- I wouldn't say bad choices, thats not for me or anyone else to judge- but neither girls may have considered the future impact of their lifestyle choices at that time.

I guess the 'we' you refer to is me and I am entitled to an opinion as everyone else just because it differs from your own does not mean it is 'TOO INTENSE' as you put it or that I am not allowed to post it. Nothing I have said on this subject is defamatory or inflammatory to any DC member it is just an opposing view- so thank you but I am old enough and wise enough to know when I need to take my own deep breath.

That very last statement is what it all boils down to. Most young women (I sure didn't) don't think of the future impact some choices can have on their lives. With DD only being 8 I'm very careful in how I handle these situations when they arise and she comes home from school asking questions. I did use the Miley VF pics as a learning tool for DD. First I had to clear up the VERY BAD information the child at school gave her . I was SHOCKED at what this other 8 year old told my DD.

Back on topic: I agree that the CG Tink lost some of her edge! I like the sassy, tough Tink!

WOW, no actually I was referring to we as me, you, everybody. I most certainly in no way meant to offend you. I apologize. I apparently should have read my post twice before posting to see if it sounded rude in anyway.

You are exactly right, ill-informed choices and regretful situations haunt many young celebrities. Only they will know or find out how these decisions affect their lives and careers.
