SurLaLune Fairy Tales: History of Cinderella
My daughter disputed Cinderella's history by insisting that she (Cinders) was French. However, after extensive research it appears that Cinderella is of Chinese origin, adaptatations were made in French (Perrault) and then another version by the Brothers Grimm in Germany.
