Re: Up!

Another wonderful Pixar film. Not "Finding Nemo", but still quite enjoyable. Funny and poignant.

Did anyone else notice the resemblance between the two old men and Spencer Tracy and Kirk Douglas?
It's all I could think of during the movie.

Re: Up!

Just returned from seeing the 3D Up! We took DS and his girl-friend (too young to have a "girlfriend" ) and all four of us loved it! Best Pixar film for me, hands down. Love the story line and the humor was great! I was very leary about spending the extra money to see it 3D but I'm glad we did. It was worth it.

I would like to see the 3D version, but the kids don't like it. We have left theaters after finding out that only a 3D version is playing, we simply go somewhere else. (What is up with this, by the way? Seems every new movie release is in 3D?!?)

Maybe I'll have to go myself to see the 3D version. It was an excellent film and worth seeing over and over.

Re: Up!

I finally saw it yesterday too. Our theater only offered it in 3-D, but we enjoy Disney 3-D a lot. We enjoyed he film, can't say it was my favorite though. It was very touching though and I teared-up several times. I love Dug, he was funny.

I am glad I saw it and can't wait 'till it comes out on DVD.

Our theater offers both, with a $2.50 difference in price . But it was worth it. I typically don't care for 3D movies (except for the WDW attractions ) but this was good. Nothing flies or jumps out at the audience. It's just a nice 3D affect on the screen. Very well done. DS doesn't like to wear 3D glasses because of his glasses but he didn't have any issues with these glasses.

Thanks Smee57, with nothing jumping out (like champagne corks!) maybe the kids will go see it in 3D...

Re: Up!

Took DW yesterday (no kids ).

We liked it very much. It was very thought provoking (and a bit sad in parts). Overall, two thumbs way UP!

Re: Up!

Our theater offered both regular and 3D options, both the same price, just at different times. We only went to the 3D one because it was at an "off" time when we wanted to go. The whole effect was very low key. In fact, I totally forgot we were watching 3D.

Re: Up!

Finally saw it yesterday. Theater here also offers both versions with 3D being more. Unfortunately 3D equipment was down so we watched the reg. It was a good movie but a little on the mature side for certain age levels. I kept hearing several kiddies around me asking "what's wrong with him or why is that happening". I understand why they were asking as several things where left to interpretation.
Good movie though.

Re: Up!

DS and I finally got to go see it this morning. I think I enjoyed it more than he did, but we both liked it. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD, it's definantly a keeper. Besides, with only about 3 minutes left to go in the movie, DS decided he COULD NOT wait to go to the restroom, so we walked back into the movie with about 1 minute left. I was ticked! Oh well, still a fun experience and good movie!
