I saw Brother Bear today!

I went to see the Disney Club screening of Brother Bear today and it was great! Lots of laughs and some lines that went right over DD's head but made DH and I laugh. It also had a couple of pretty sad scenes. It is definately worth the trip to the theaters so go and check it out!

Thanks for the review Dab. I have been patiently waiting for this movie to come out. Sad scenes huh? Wouldn't be a good Disney witout a few tear jerking moments. I sure the humor will out weigh the sad....I hope anyway. Thanks again for the sneak preview review.

I just thought I'd add my almost 5 yr olds opinion...
She liked it but doesn't want to go see it again. She wished there were girl characters. (DD is in a boys have cooties stage! :dazed) Thinking back, the only female character was the grandmother. Funny how I didn't even pay attention to that detail but it made her like the movie less.

I was able to see it as well on Saturday. We arrived a bit late (a half an hour before) and had to sit on the front row on the side. A lot of people didn't even get seats, so I guess we were lucky. I took my 5 year old girl and 14 year old boy, since the other kids had soccer or another kind of practice.

They both really enjoyed it, as did I. No mention from my daughter about girl/boy characters. In fact, I did notice it, but really liked that Disney had done a "brother" movie. Reminded me alot of Lion King, in the message of the movie. Of course, it wasn't as good as Lion King, but much better than many of the latest offerings from Disney. I would give it three stars, and will go back and see it again with the rest of my family when it is released.

Oh, and the recurring characters of Doug and Bob McKenzie (Rutt and Tuke) are fantastic, and really add to the show, eh.

Thanks to you both for the preview! I'm dying to see Rutt and Tuke, too. Being close to Canada, we have a slightly skewed view of the humor.

Cast Members were handing out HM/BB trick or treat bags at the MNSSHP the night we went. We were able to bring back enough for DD's class. That was fun!

Does anyone know how we will get to see these sneak peaks after they close the Disney Club???? I have ask the CM of the Disney Club but never really got an answer... Other than I needed to sign up for the Disney Visa Card. although the CM did not say that they would be giving the preview screening of movies to the Credit Card holder....

Just got back from seeing Brother Bear. I liked it but didn't LOVE it like alot of the Disney movies. (I don't think it was a boy-girl thing but I don't know...;)) I just thought it was a little slow to start but it DID pick up. It was entertaining and Rutt & Tuke definitely made the movie.

The previews were pretty enticing...

Disney has made a movie of one of my ALL-TIME favorite books ~ Cheaper by the Dozen ~ and put a modern spin on it. It stars Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt with Hillary Duff and Ashton Kuchar as well. This will be a must-see....

The Cat in the Hat looks pretty good with Michael Myers but may not be quite as good as The Grinch.

Home on the Range caught the kids eyes... I hope it ends up being as funny as it looks.

Saw the movie tonight with my 4 year old DD. We both really liked it. I will admit that I cried a lot during the end of the movie  . I thought the story was great and the end was fitting. The music was also fantastic. We picked up the soundtrack on the way home.

I took my kids to see it tonight. We all loved it. Disney movies have such a way of pulling at all your emotions.
I love pixar animation, but the hand drawn animation is still my favorite. The colors were so great.
I wish the reviews were better. I give it an 8 out of 10.

We saw it also this weekend. My dad was in town, so we took my ds to see it. There were tears shead from my son during a few times in the movie, so he said it's not his favorite movie. But we all agreed it was a good movie and worth seeing.

Anne, we also enjoyed seeing all the good previews for movies coming out. Thanksgiving last year we decided to go to the movies after dinner, so this year we decided to go see Cat in the Hat on Thanksgiving. Cheaper by the dozen looks really good, too!!!
