Walt Disneys Treasures, Disneyland USA on DVD
I don't know if any of you have seen this DVD or not. There is a collection of 4 Walt Disney Treasures and they come in a tin with each having two DVD's. I found them at Sam's Club for 21.99 and I thought it was really worth it. The only one I didn't get was Davy Crockett and I'll go back to get it soon.
The only one I've had time to watch so far (I just got them) was Disneyland USA. It has the opening of Disneyland, planning of and construction of Disneyland and other really neat things. It was it's broadcast between 1955 and 1970. Some of you probably already have it. It has a running time of 3 hours and 48 min. Seems like it was longer though. I Loved it. We also got the "Mickey Mouse In Living Color" and "Silly Symphonies". Like I said, I found them for 21.99 each. Just thought I would let you all know. :) :)

Goofette, thanks for the heads up. I have seen all of them, except for the Davy Crockett DVDs. The Disneyland one was of interest, especially the grand opening that was covered on live tv by Art Linkletter and Ronald Reagan. The shots of the parking lot are crazy, there is nothing around anywhere, it is out in a field of oranges.
I really enjoyed the Mickey Mouse cartoons, and the Silly Symphonies brought back great memories, and there are some wonderful shorts. I would say the Mickey Mouse and the Silly Symphonies are buys, but I would rent the Disneyland one. Not sure about Davy though, it could be good.

I think most (if not all) of them are available at Disney.com for $22.99 & if you're a Disney Club member you get another 10% off of that & then periodically they have free shipping times. Guess I'm just lazy...love shopping on-line!!!!

Goofette, just wanted to let you know I got an email this morning from the Disney Store. They're offering free shipping on orders over $75 through the 16th. Just FYI.

Thanks for the info ilvminnie. I had a friend send me something about a cheat code for Hidden Cartoon Shorts for "Silly Symphonies" It's the Following : Disney Treasures: Silly Symphonies Platform: DVD Video Supplied by: Anonymous Hidden Cartoon Shorts On Disc 1, on the [Leonard's Picks] menu, go to the [Main Menu] spot, and then go up to highlight the word "Leonard". This will take you to "Wynken Blynken and Nod". On the [Favorite Characters] menu, go up from "The Wise Little Hen" to see "Who Killed Cock Robin?". On the second page of [Fables and Fairy Tales], go to "Lullaby Land" and go [left] to highlight the cat's sword. This will show you "Water Babies". On Disc 2, go to the [Nature on Screen] menu and go to the right of "Mother Pluto" to see Walt introduce "The Old Mill" before playing (it's available on the menu on its own). On the [Accent on Music] menu, go [left] from "Music Land" and highlight the saxophone's hat to see "Farmyard Symphony". Let me know if it works if anyone tries it. :)

Any one know any more special codes?
We bought the Disneyland show and one week later, the Disney Channel showed an episode of Walt Disney Presents that SHOULD have been on the disk - Disneyland Through The Seasons. This COLOR program went through the making of It's a Small World and Moments With Lincoln, among others - and looks like it was made the year WD passed on (the description of the show in the guide said it was originally a dedication to Walt). Why wasn't this on the disk? I expected much more behind the ears kind of stuff. And why stop at Disneyland? It would be great to see how the Magic Kingdom at WDW has changed over the years!
