Lilo and Stich Review
OK, we just got back from Lilo and Stitch, and I wanted to give a quick review. We received free tickets from the Disney Club, but the majority of the people there received them from a local Radio Disney station. I would say there was close to 800 people there, and it was shown in two different theaters. Before the show, they gave away books, posters and even a trip to Hawaii, but I wasn't that fortunate. We did get a cool poster though, and a couple of sticker books.
As for the movie, I would give it 3 and a half mickeys (out of four). It was funny, cute, well done and an overall great movie. Really, the best one from Disney since Lion King. Stitch was funny, and while sometimes difficult to understand, his actions and interaction with Lilo were great. I think the best thing was that you really felt for Lilo and here sister, and wanted everything to end well for them. The scenery was fantastic, and it was really well done, especially the underwater scenes. It was appropriate for kids of all ages. It was rated PG, and I am assuming it was because of the violence. There are some shooting scenes, and a big fight scene, but nothing as bad as the afternoon cartoon shows. I wouldn't hesitate to take any of my kids to see it again. If you have any question, post away!

Mickey, sounds fun. Our theatres didn't do anything like that here...or nothing like that that I heard of. I'm glad to hear it's really good. I was hoping it would be.

I have to admit I was really worried about this film when I saw the previews. I couldn't understand why they felt it necessary to destroy the classic moments of some of their greatest films (and interrupt all those good songs!).
But something inside me kept saying that if the trailer was bad, the movie had a very big possibility of being good. And thank goodness it was! Lilo and Stitch is a touching, fun, sit-back and have a good time at the movies piece of work. It's lovely to look at, and had many heartfelt moments. The characters were interesting and different. I was worried Stitch's uncontrollable behavior in the trailers was going to ruin the movie for me, but I thought he was a very endearing character. I think it's important for families who take their younger ones to it to sit down and speak to their child about the behavior being displayed. Lilo's unruly behavior is far to real in this day and age- and children should be aware that just because she behaves in that fashion, it doesn't mean it's okay. The weakest parts of he movie for me were the bits with the buffoon aliens who are after stitch. I was more interested in the story at hand. In all, I give it 3 and 1/2 out of 5 ears.

Oh, I am SOOO glad this movie is getting good reviews! It looks really cute and my daughter is driving us crazy about taking her, but I admit I was concerned we might be disappointed.
We are going to go sometime in the next week or so. So far, we have a surfing Elvis Stich from McDonalds. I actually like it. :)

Didin't go to see Lilo and Stitch expecting too much. I have been very disappointed in Disney's movie since The Lion King. However, I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed this movie. The olcor of the film is wonderful! I really thought the story line was a bold departure for Disney and they drew the people to actually look like people. Not Barbie and Kens on steriods. I would say children that are easily frightened perhaps shouldn't be taken to see the movie. ( I am talking about the pre school set) There several children of the pre school set who left crying in the middle of the movie because some of the monster I suppose were just to scary. There is a lot to love about the aliens at first.
My children, 11 and 9 1/2 really enjoyed the movie and want to see it again. Enjoy and thank you Disney! Jeannej |

Thanks for the review. Looks like I made a mistake when I chose to take my grandaughter to Scooby Doo instead of Lilo. To tell the truth I was a little tired of the commercials. They have been playing for 6 months. I will take her to see Stitch on her next visit. Will we see Stitch anywehre at WDW?:D

Went to see L&S yesterday...thought it was great! My hubby wasn't too excited about it from the trailers, but even he loved it. As soon as we left, my 16-year-old said "Can we go see it again?" There were some younger kids that I heard crying during the space chase blow-'em-up & shoot--'em-up scene towards the end, but then my daughter was 4 when we took her to see Little Mermaid at the theater & Ursula scared her silly!
I thought they did a great job of making you relate to both Lilo & Stitch, & the development & change in Stitch throughout the movie was superb. You just wanted to take him home with you by the end of the movie. I give it 4 and a half Mickeys out of 5. And we will go see it again & will buy it when it comes out on DVD. By the way, the trailers for Country Bears looks adorable. Can't wait.

We just saw Lilo & Stitch yesterday and was extremely pleased with the whole movie. We went to a Disney Store about 2 weeks prior and got two free tickets. Total cost for me, the Mrs., and 2 kids was $4.00 but I would have gladly paid full price in hindsight. I was hoping for some more memorable music, since I can only remember liking the song played when Lilo, Stitch, her sister, and boyfriend were surfing. Guess they all can't be Lion Kings or Tarzans. Maybe that's a good thing. I liked the storyline, however familiar, even with some of the battle scenes.
I give it 3 1/2 :) out of 5:) .
