Hey - I just got two special offers:

One is tied to my Disney VISA and it allows for Double Disney Dollars from October till the end of the year every month when you break $350 on the card. I break this by the 5th of the month!! Did anybody else get this one?

The other is for Triple Disney Dollars from October 5th till the end of the year for any purchase >$50 at the newly re-opened NYC 5th Avenue store. Since I get into NYC a few times a month, I am taking advantage of this by getting my annual pass vouchers in NYC. Since we need about $1550 in passes, I figure we will get $45 in Disney Dollars for this alone. Woo hoo.

I have no idea if these two offers can be used at the same time. That would be sweet.

I got the Double Disney Dollars one from Visa. When I read the fine print, though, it didn't sound like quite as good a deal --I have to break $550 (is yours really only $350?) of spending on items "classified by Visa as dining, groceries, gas, utilities, dry cleaning, wireless services, drug stores, home improvement, movies/refreshments, and video rentals." After that, you get double Disney Dollars, but again, *only* on purchases that fit the above. Still, we're working hard (er, buying stuff is *so* hard ) to get our double Disney dollars! They were running that same special over the summer, and we bagged some serious vacation funds!

Nice deal on the NYC store!

Interesting. My offer came as an oversize postcard (no folds). Guess it's a slightly different one! Hopefully yours doesn't have all the spending category restrictions either...

Oh I wish I had gotten that offer. I put all my monthly expenses for the entire household on the Disney Card. I wonder if you get the double dollars automatically. Yippeeeee that would be great.

OK, I went home and double checked. Mine is actually a red and white folded (just once) postcard like item.

I also call Bank One for clarification. I was told that all of the double dollars offers are unique to that account which explains why yours and mine are different for the limits (>$350 vs. >$550). They also stated that they do not care what you buy. The offer is not just for certain items purchased. Lastly I asked about the NYC store opening which is Triple dollars on any Disney VISA purchase >$50. The person put me on hold and checked with his supervisor. I was told that if I bought my annual pass vouchers there that I would get not only triple dollars but also (after the $350 limit) double dollars again. I'm not holding my breath (this is Bank One) but it would be sweet if it works out. Anybody near the NYC area might want to try this!!!

I hope I get an offer in the mail soon. I signed up for my Disney Visa in July and have been using for almost everything to earn some rewards to help pay for extras on our next trip. So far I have not gotten anything, but I will keep my fingers crossed!

I have had this card for a few months now and have yet to get any "special offers"..this one Disney dollar per $100 of purchases just isn't getting me too excited honestly..If I don't get some decent offers soon I am probably just going to ditch this card all together. Man, I'd LOVE to get double Disney dollars this month b/c we are going in Dec and I only have two more statement cycles before I request my card to take to WDW.

FYI in case you didn't know ;o)
You can pick a card up at DD customer service the day you need to use it and they can transfer your balance right there.. You don't have to order the card. That is what I did worked really nice.

I just tried to purchase my annual pass vouchers at the 5th Avenue store. They are now the "World of Disney" as opposed to the "Disney Store" which was sold. They do not sell annual passes any longer only park hoppers. Therefore, I couldn't get the 3x Disney Dollars. Bummer! I am told that you can still do so at the Disney Store but why bother? I can just get them at Guest Services at the MK.

The store is neat though.

Has anyone received a registration form for a Disney companion ticket? Buy one , get one free. I just got it in the mail. Has to be used by11/15/05. I would love to go to Disneyland. HELP!!
