Re: Rejected

If it wasn't for the reward dollars and 0 % interest I would not have one. I asked them if they could lower my APR and they said I was at the lowest I could have. I pay my bill off each month on time. I don't consider 14% low so consider your self blessed and consider another card with rewards if you really need one.

Re: Rejected

I think it feels disappointing because it is a Disney card. It is ok, the credit company denied you, not WDW. You can still go!!
Seriously, get things straight and try again in 6 months. You will feel so good once you do get it!

Re: Rejected

Thanks everyone. I wanted it specifically for the Disney reward dollars. The plan was to pay for everything with it and then pay it off on time every month. That way I would save some money on food in Disney and have more money for spending on gifts. Oh well maybe I will get it for next years trip.

Re: Rejected

Check out some of your local banks...in my town I know of 3 that give interest accrual in checking or money back in your account, etc....I know it seems great to have one, but there are much better rates somewhere else...Discover has a great cashback program also! Don't get discouraged...sometimes no credit card is a good thing...

Re: Rejected

First step in improving your credit. STOP applying for credit cards. ESPECIALLY when you know you have issues that will cause them to deny. Part of your scoring is how many applications you have made recently.

Second step is PAY off what you have. Start with your highest interest accounts and pay WAY over the minimum payment. Pay that card COMPLETELY OFF then leave the account open - just don't use it! (Another large part of your credit score is the amount you owe compared to your credit lines.) Go on to the next highest interest rate.

I know it's hard, but you can do it. I did and I have now have credit cards with higher limits that I spent on my 1st house. And I now RARELY pay a penny in interest because I pay them off every month. You can afford to when you are not being bleed to death paying 18-30%!

I've looked at the Disney Visa but the rates are horrible and I get better rewards on other cards - up to 5%.

Re: Rejected

its totally overrated too- I have awesome credit so I got the card- when we paid it off they added some fee at the end and I did not know it was outstanding- they reported a late payment on my credit for $2 remainder of a bill- I had no idea and was rather P/O - I closed down the card and they reported it as charge off- what bugs me is that I still have a great score that is over 700 but that is the only negative on the report and that was 2 years ago...UGH!

Re: Rejected

Clarkhoward.com is also a great site and if you're lucky, you can get him on the radio, too.

I have a Disney Visa but I don't use it because the interest rate is too high.

I never received my $25 bonus and when I called they said someone would get back to me in 2 weeks!! No benefit to having this card! Rate is high and rewards are minimal.

Really? Hmm. We already do that type of thing with our other cards (one for gas, one for food and such). Maybe I can talk DH into doing that with this card instead of one of our others. :) Then we can start racking up points for our next trip which probably won't be until we have kids but still!

I found it to be VERY beneficial when booking our trip! We saved $400 because we're Disney Visa cardholders!
