Re: Anabella Hotel

Hi! Welcome to DC! Okay, the Annabella-
My friends stayed here once, and we went inside their room. The grounds are wonderful, and the rooms are nicly decorated. I suggest you go to expedia.ca and do a search on the hotel, then you can get a virtual tour! I remember that they said the maids did not do so well, but their room was a mess. Also, the pool lacks somthing-it is like a regular pool. The location is great. I think they tore down a hotel called "Alladian" and put the Annabella up. Overall, I suggest this hotel, but if it is in you price-range, cheak out the GARDEN GROVE MARRIOTT, and its in my thread on this board. If you want other recommendations, just ask me!

Re: Anabella Hotel

I have Stayed at the Anabella twice with a friend/family. It is a nice hotel, well worth the money (or so it seemed) and it is very close to DLR, its right around the corner from the main entrance on Katella. You will have a nice view of a few of the rides in Paradise Pier, or so I can remember. Have a great time when you go to DLR. And the Garden Grove Marriot is a nice hotel as well. :-)

Yes, I reccommend it, along with some others. If anyone needs recommendations, just PM me, or ask me.

Re: Anabella Hotel

We always walk by it when we are at our convention. It has nice grounds, and a beautful mission style. It's suituated almost right between both parks. You could probably walk the 8 minute walk to Grand Californian and enter the parks there.
People have also crossed through the parking lot to the trams - I have heard.

Re: Anabella Hotel

I dont mean to be rude but by your description I think you might be thinking of the wrong area? *confused* The Anabella is across the street from DCA on Katella. When you said cross through the parking lot to the trams I got confused. Did ya mean cross the street over to the side parking entrance and to the trams there? lol, sorry to sound so dumb..

It makes total sense to me. There is a pedestrian entrance off of Katella into the Timon parking lot, which you can just walk across and get on the Timon tram, and take to the front gate.

Re: Anabella Hotel

I stayed there the last weekend of February 2005.

First time for me, went through Priceline, and was VERY IMPRESSED with the room I got and the suite they gave us as well. There was an in-room safe, four post bed, marbled bathroom and a nice sized jacuzzi by the pool.

Walking distance to the Park, though after a full day, it seems a lot longer than it actually is.

THE BAD: The restaurant isn't that great, and it seems they cater to New Zealanders, Australians, and Canadians. Which means there are a lot of tour groups and multi party tables which lowers the level of service from the staff.
