Re: Has anyone stayed at the Candy Cane Inn?
Hi Rick...Sorry for the delayed response, works been crazy
Thanks again for all your input...it really helps. We will be renting a car since we'll be flying in to CA from NJ. After our 5 days at DL we'll be heading to Laguna Beach...so we feel a car is a must. We can't wait to post a TR on DC..but not too soon, the build up is half the fun. Talk to you soon...Danny.P.S. thanks to disneyaddict also ![]()

Re: Has anyone stayed at the Candy Cane Inn?
I am glad to read this post. I heard about this hotel from some relatives who stayed here often. I decided that we will save some money & stay at the Candy Cane Inn instead of the Disneyland Resort for our Nov trip. We will be staying 9 nights, so it really adds up. We will also be going to Knotts Berry Farm & Universal Studios. The pictures of the hotel on their website look nice. I hope you have fun on your trip!

DisneyFever...Great choice on the Candy Cane! Also, I see that you are going to be visiting Universal Studios. If you feel like spending a few extra dollars, the "Front of the Line" passes are HIGHLY recommended. They will save you HOURS of waiting time, especially if you visit the place on a busy day. As I said, they will run you a few more $ but are well worth it. Have a great time!!!

Thanks for telling me about the Front of the Line passes. for Universal That is a great idea! I don't mind spending extra money on things like that. Where can I get them?

Re: Has anyone stayed at the Candy Cane Inn?
DisneyFever.....Check out Universal Studios website, as I believe you can order them online. Our family, my wife and I plus our two sons, visited Universal Studios just this past March 21st. In doing research for this trip, I ran across several tour companies that offer tourbus service from the Candy Cane to the front gate of Universal Studios which I was very interested in as I was not familiar at all with driving in L.A. .....anyway, we opted for the V.I.P tour which was rather expensive but a good choice for us. It is a tour that is quite a bit more involved than the regular tram tour that the studio offers...it included "front of the line" status. This was as involved and as expensive of a tour that they offer, as I said, but instead of the expanded tour itself, I know "front of the line" passes themselves can be purchased.....and not at that much more than the regular entry fee. Check out their website or call them direct.....this info. I don't have but with the internet, you should have no problem finding out the details. The V.I.P tour was great, but in hindsight, we would have been just as happy with the "front of the line" passes themselves. Once again, best of luck with your research.

We lived in Anaheim last summer while working at Disney, so naturally we tried most of the eateries right around Disneyland. We tried Captain Kidd's on more than one occasion (3, in fact!) and the service & food were increasingly WORSE every time. The final time, when the server accused me of not paying my check (and chased me out to the sidewalk!) was the last straw. I wouldn't eat there again even if my meal was free. ![]()
