Re: budget friendly recommendations

Both the Kids Play Free and Everyone Plays for Kids price promos end at the end of April. They have to be booked by 4/24 and travel by 4/27.

I think it's free until 3 years old. I'm pretty sure that's what I read, DS will turn 3 this July, so we're trying to go before then.

Kink in my plans...my in-laws have decided (without asking if we have anything else planned by the way) that they will come visit for DS birthday! Nice to know these things in advance! At least I hadn't bought tickets for anything yet!

Good luck with your planning! Welcome to DC! You'll get LOTS of info here!

Re: budget friendly recommendations

Thanks So Much for all of your responses.... I have spend days online, trying to get vaca figured out.... What about Hotel deals? is there like somewhere where you can get coupons or discounts from? Has anyone heard of this new deal " Family of 4 for 1500.00" maybe I can just add 2 kids to that? or is there any way of getting a group discount? friends may be joining us as well? Thanks again all. This site is very helpful.

Re: budget friendly recommendations

Oh, and sense you are all so helpful,... Does anyone know if it is worthwhile, or has anyone ever bought any type of tickets or packages from ebay? Was it a scam, Do you think it was worth it? like has this way of purchase worked for anyone? and If so, is it possible to divulge from whom you purchased on ebay? Thanks again to all of you. I am still soooo happy with this site.... And here is a small money saving tip that I can offer.... Some people purchase autograph books, and I know this is no secret, but you can easily make your own. We are having my 13 year old " artistic" daughter draw the characters on pages, and then the 14 year old will decorate with scrapbooking supplies, and we will photo copy it, so that each child has one. Just a fun Idea, for anyone who may be interested,... plus it keeps the kids busy, while they are so eagerly awaiting thier first trip to DL. YAAAAA! We just cant wait... I think I will be the one who cant sleep ( like the commercial), because I will be so excited to be able to see them enjoy this fun trip.

Re: budget friendly recommendations

I have heard about people buying tickets through Ebay and some have worked out fine but I wouldn't risk it. There would be nothing worse than to get to WDW and find out you have been scammed.

Re: budget friendly recommendations

I try to make sure that everyone I deal with for my vacation is a totally legit travel based company or a bonafied representative of Disney, otherwise it is just too risky!

I Washington!

Re: budget friendly recommendations

Hi,
We have stayed 2 times at the Marriots Residence Inn Main gate. They are reasonable priced. They offer sit down breakfast every morning and light dinner every night Mon-Thur. We saved a lot of $$$ on food with 4 kids to feed. We ate at the hotel morning and evening and then we were able to splurge and eat at the Park for lunch. They have a shuttle bus to the park, but you could walk.

Re: budget friendly recommendations

I would be leary of buying anything vacation oriented from e-bay. Sounds funny since I'm scouring e-bay for downhill skis, but that's not vacation (I live 15 minutes from 3 ski resorts). Tickets and hotels deals would scare me there! I have had great luck with Expedia, but all I've seen lately has been the April deal and we're not looking at going until July, if even then.

Re: budget friendly recommendations

Ok, I just booked our vacation at the anaheim la quinta Inn & Suites for 3 nights and 4 days...with 6 .. 3day park hopper bonus passes... I had booked first at the anaheim plaza for 3 nights and for only 2day passes... and then I found this site ( thanks to you guys) Getawaytoday.com, and got a much better hotel, and an extra day at DL for only 50$ more. I think I got an awesome deal. I only had to pay 1200.00,,.... Is this a good deal for a family of 7? does anyone have any other suggestions for somewhere they know is cheaper? I think I have a good deal here though. We are very excited, And plan to keep this package unless there is a huge difference with another type of package. OH, plus we get this discount book included... its called the southern california discount booklet... has anyone gotten this book before, or recently? what is in it? anyone know what type of coupons are offered inside of it? like meals, or attractions? ect...
Thanks again folks.... TTFN

Re: budget friendly recommendations

Actually That does not include air fair, As we are driving, in hopes of some great family time, also the kids are taking that week off of school, so this will give them time to do homework while on vaca and missing school... they will be bored enough at times that they will want to do homework... But I think that I still got a good deal,... thanks for your input " Pixie".... I am interested in what kind of deals others have gotten for just hotel and tickets, remember this is a family of 7 but the infant is free.
Becuase if there is still a chance of getting a better deal I can cancel and re-reserve a hotel and tickets, & we are going may 27 - june1 or 2nd... and doing the park may 28th -30th. Congrats on becomming an aunt Pixie.... You will have so much fun... My 14, and 13 year old just love being even a big sis to my now 11 mo. old... thier brother, Jericho. Babies are the funnest.... and someday, you will be wanting to take your new niece or nephew to DL as well I bet... Have Fun all......

Re: budget friendly recommendations

We always book through getawaytoday.com, they really do have great deals and I love the way tax is included. If you think you're going to want to go again within a year, go to the bank on Main st. and see how much more it would be to upgrade to the Deluxe Annual pass. It's usually not much more and then you can come back and not have to buy the Tickets. We do it every year. You will find lots of tips and friends here!
