Being that I live 15 minutes away from DLR and DCA, I have never stayed at any of the hotels in the area. I do know someone that stayed at the Embassy Suites and they said they liked it. The Candy Cane Inn is pretty good too from what I have heard and read. You really can't go wrong with any of the Disney Good Neighbor Hotels if you are looking to save a few bucks.

As far as eats in the area, I would strongly suggest eating off site. There is a place on Beach Blvd. in Stanton that me, DW, and DD frequent when we go to DLR (we're APs): Mario's International Restaurant. Not much for ambiance, but the food is good and the prices are decent. If he is in a good mood, Mario may throw a free appetizer your way. I'm a little biased on my review 'cause I've known him since I was 10. If you want to escape the tourist traps and the crowds at the nearby Anaheim Resort restaurants, go to Mario's.

If you need a quickie place to hit, try the Mad Greek on Beach Blvd. You can't go wrong with any of their items but if you go there, do not pass on the french fried zuchinni. It is their specialty and they claim to be the original home of fried zuchinni. A Greek place and zuchinni? Go figure.

Has anyone stayed at the Best Western Stovall's Inn? It's a Disney Good Neighbor Hotel, so I will assume it is a suitable place?
