Anabella Hotel

Has anyone ever stayed at the Anabella Hotel on Katella Ave? I just stayed there this last trip (not my first time there) and I forgot how great it was and how close it really is to the three resort hotels and DTD....and if you cut through the GCH to get to DTD its even quicker to get to DTD and the esplanade. Its such a great hotel at a good cost. Just wanted to mention it.

Re: Anabella Hotel

Thanks for the review...I know we have walked past that hotel many times and wondered if it was decent. You are right about it having a great location!

I will have to keep that in mind for our next trip. Thanks again!

I stayed there once back in 04.

It's a healthy walk between the Anabella and Disneyland, especially when you return to the hotel after a full day, but I had nothing but good things to say about it.. The suites are especially nice!

Re: Anabella Hotel

We stayed there back in 2001 and thought it was a great resort for the money. It was a little bit of a hike to the park, but not too bad if you cut through the Grand Californian like anaheimboy said.
It's a REALLY long walk if you are carrying/dragging a 3 year old in the middle of a temper tantrum all the way back from Toontown though.

Re: Anabella Hotel

Thanks for this thread anaheimboy. We will be staying there and to be honest, I have been VERY worried about the hotel after reading all the reviews on TripAdvisor and other sites.

It's good to hear positive experiences, gives me some hope that it will turn out okay in the end.

Re: Anabella Hotel

Do you know if there any any time restrictions or anything for cutting thru the GCH or can we do that at any time?

Did you ever walk to the Timon parking lot and take the tram? How does someone find out if that lot is open before walking over there? It looks like it may be a shorter walk.

Actually, the Grand Californian is the better and shorter walk.

There are no time restrictions as far as I know. Of course, I've never tried to walk through at 3:00 in the morning, but who knows?

The Timon parking lot is "closer, but you will still have to go to the East Side, which is farther away...

Re: Anabella Hotel

I stayed there '01'. Loved it. Nice restaurant and nice pool. Not as crowded as the hotels around the corner.

We stayed there last week and had a great stay. The room was just as nice as the website pictures and very clean. We would stay there again.
