He's an artist named Josh Agle. that does a lot of retro and tiki stuff, does a LOT for Disneyland... Just Google Shag and Disney and you'll see his work. The BF is a HUGE HUGE fan.

They sent out postcards to people, and I've been trying to get one (I don't even know how the people who got them got them to begin with) for the BF.

ANOTHER CONVERT!!!

I recently got him a clock with some of his work, and he got a print of the tiki room work he did for Disneyland. Also got him his book and a couple of recipe books he did...



I want to assist his collection of his stuff (The BF is into retro type stuff, tiki stuff, Disney, coktails, so Shag is RIGHT up his alley)

Very cool! I'm sure I've seen it before, but I didn't know it was a particular artist. I love those prints of the 5 original lands! Did you see the prices? The 5 prints are $995 for the set, and the originals are $10,000 each! Wowzers!

I would love to have those 5 prints for dh's office and/or for our playroom. Those are so cool.

In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Disneyland®Resort, SHAG has created some colorful new images depicting the essence of Walt's five original lands. We will host an exclusive “Cocktail Hideaway” reception on Friday night for true Shag enthusiasts.

In addition, our reception Guests will have the first opportunity to pre-purchase our new product offerings via the Random Selection Process (RSP)*, including the Original Artwork, boxed serigraph set, and additional themed merchandise. All merchandise pre-purchased via Random Selection Process (RSP)* will be pre-signed by the Artist. There will not be an opportunity to purchase merchandise during the reception. We recommend Guests interested in obtaining product as part of the cocktail reception experience please take advantage of the Random Selection Process (RSP)*. Ticket Sale Information:

Tickets for the TOMORROWLAND event package are $400, per person. Limited to 50 Guests. No discounts will be offered in conjunction with this package.



**Standard accommodations one person per room. Includes room rate and tax only. Couples purchasing the TOMORROWLAND event package will be offered a second night hotel accommodation (consecutive to the first night – 6/24/05) in a standard room/double occupancy at Disneyland® Hotel (or another Resort hotel as determined by Disney) in lieu of two rooms for one night. * What is the Random Selection Process (RSP)?
In an effort to provide an equitable distribution of the limited edition event merchandise we have asked our Information Technology Department to assist us by supervising a Random Selection Process (RSP). The RSP eliminates the need to arrive early and stand in line. The RSP is a computer generated process using a list of Guest names and their desired merchandise selections and rankings. All Guest names, their merchandise selections and rankings are entered in the the system. When all information has been input, a random list is created with the merchandise items that each Guests will be offered for purchase. For example, if an item has an edition size of 20 and 100 Guests show an interest to purchase this, the computer will randomly select 20 Guests who will be offered the opportunity to purchase the item. Oh, Dementia, have I got a treat for you.

We went to Disneyland this evening, and ALL of the stores are sporting huge displays of this Shag stuff. No credit to him, though, so the only reason I know it's his stuff is because of this post.

I got:

Two tees for Emily
A tee for Zachary
An ashtray/dresser tray thingie (not sure what it is exactly but dh will use it on his dresser for his badge, DL ID, wallet, keys, phone, etc - all that junk he leaves everywhere)
Deck of cards
Puzzle
Disneyland old maingate sign pin
Cosmetic bag (for me)

We also got 2 sets of Golden Ears. For those going, they are everywhere, but only the Mad Hatter (either shop) has all three sizes and free embroidery. Buy it there.

Check out this pin - I don't know if it's by this artist, but it is so cool. The flags are lined with fabric - that is a nice touch. We NEVER buy pins, but couldn't resist this one. I don't know if you can tell from this picture, but it's HUGE.
