Well my dear.....I have a little story to tell you about that:

On Thursday, we spent the day sightseeing in LA, Hollywood and the beaches. At one point we were slightly lost, or at least not quite sure if we had passed the point where we would pick up the highway to go home. So we decided we'd just stop somewhere to eat. We were in the Manhattan beach area.

I noticed a place called "The Kettle" and suggested we stop there. We did and walked up to the door to find people sitting outside waiting to be seated. One of our friends asked a man sitting there if it was worth the wait and the guy told us it most definitely was. He told us what to order, said the food was the best, and raved about the muffins too. Then he stoppped by our table during dinner and talked to us some more. Since we were enjoying it so much and he knew all about us by then and that we were there to run the DL marathon, he told us to be sure to try their "sister" restaurant: Mimi's!! He said the Kettle (which he used to work in himself) was a family owned business and had spawned the Mimi's restaurants and we could find about 80% of the same menu choices there.

So we were thrilled to get to eat some of those same foods. And yes, everyone loved their food, at both places (even though I think the Kettle was a better). We took our muffins back to our hotel with us to eat the next morning before the race.
