Good Pasta Place
We'll all need to go carb load before the DL marathon in September, so what's a good pasta place that's not too far away? I heard the Spaghetti Warehouse in that area was kinda small and not so great.

Re: Good Pasta Place
Wow, looks great. Gets a little pricey for dinner though. Is it close to DL?

It's two blocks northeast of disneyland.. Corner of Vermont and South Anaheim Boulevard.. I, for one, have never eaten there, but the champagne sunday brunch looks good, and $38+ is not a bad price I thought..

Re: Good Pasta Place
Sorry I didn't see this thread earlier DDoll, but Buca De Beppo is a wonderful, loud and fun Italian place. It's on Harbor Blvd about 1 1/2 miles south of Disneyland. They have several pasta dishes as well as a wonderful lemon chicken dish. Their desserts are also great. Try the Tiramasu. Their prices are much less than the White House (which is on a par with the Napa Rose). For a real treat, if there are 6 or fewer in your group, try to reserve the kitchen table. You actually get to sit in the kitchen and talk with the head chef and all the waiters and waitresses. If you're lucky, you may even get a few samples.

Re: Good Pasta Place
They ended up booking us at a place called Mimi's for our carb load dinner. Since I don't know any of the places, that's fine with me. Anyone else ever eat there?

Re: Good Pasta Place
ddoll, Mimi's is a good choice also. It's a french-themed franchise restaurant that has a good variety of pasta choices. If you like french onion soup, their's is among the best I've had (choose the buttermilk spice muffin to go with it). Also, their spinach-artichoke appetizer is very good. Enjoy!
