But mere appetizers and dessert hit us up for $50.00, and the experience soured a bit..

But ask for a water table. It makes all the difference in the world. If you're gonna be held up, you might as well enjoy it..

If you do a 11:30 lunch reservation and show up early, you are guaranteed a water table. It hasn't failed me yet, and that is the plan for the upcoming trip.

Sorry you had a bad experience there, I can understand the frustration over the pricing!

Exactly, we are planning on having a seriously good meal without worrying about cost. Although, we are still arguing over who is going to pay. I tried to make him promise me that I could pay, but he isn't having it. Seriously though, we just want to have a special evening, nothing else matters!

It's not that I had a bad experience there, you can get bad experiences anywhere.

It's just that the enjoyment has depreciated a bit...

But I've eaten at Catal for breakfast, and it's quite nice. I have seen their lunch and dinner menus, and they look inviting.
